Buffy Vs Cordy

Even though I did like Bangel, they didn't have a mature relationship...what they had between them was just mushy, high school love and loads of melodrama. Cordy and Angel had much more than that. Obviously, there's the whole thing where they actually built their relationship instead of just seeing each other and thinking, "Ooh, he/she's cute, let's be in looooove!", but it's beyond that. Even though it sounds really cheesy, they sort of completed each other. Angel needed Cordelia's enthusiasm and pep while Cordelia needed Angel's wisdom and broodiness.

Cangel all the way! They grew together as Angel progressed and really knew and understood each other. As people have said there relationship would have lasted becuase they had a deep understanding of each other.Angel was even happy for a while (well ok on the way to visiting her to talk about there feelings) Compared to when he was with Buffy and he was Moody ALL of the time (that's what it felt like) Buffy just wanted the romantic fantasy life with Angel,were as Cordy understood Angel would always put his work/other peoples lives before his own.

I'm definitely a Cordy/Angel fan. They seem to work so well together to me and we never even really got to see them together at all. But I think they had massive chemistry since "City Of" and mature Cordy is a better fit with Angel, IMO, than Buffy, who in season seven of BtVS is still not all that mature.
Plus Cordelia looks amazing naked. Have you seen Charisma's nude photos?!

On Angel, Angel and Cordy knew each other for two years before they decided they liked each other. Their interactions included no sexual or romantic chemistry. There was no hint that either one of them liked each other. Then all of a sudden, they decided they liked each other. Makes absolutely no sense.
But I am a huge Bangel. Their relationship was full of love. I love angsty romantic couples.

Well, since I think Angel loves Buffy more than Cordy, she's the right one for him. I might be wrong but I would bet that Angel's more in love with Buffy and always were, even when he wanted Cordy.
Although, that've seen how caring Cordy is and how she knows Angel and always was ready to listen to him gives her an advantage. I don't think Buffy knows Angel as well as Cordy did.
But that might just show that Cordy would be a better friend than Buffy. It's too bad that we never got to see Buffy trying to be Angel's friend. All that romance and anguish was in the way.

Definetly Buffy. They weren't just 'a high school thing'. Their love was true love & that's the most amazing thing. Yes, they could never be together, we all know that. But if I had to choose if I COULD, it would definetly be Buffy. I love Cordelia but her & Angel just don't fit in my opinion.

I disagree. Cangel had a real, mature love that grew out of a great friendship and trust. Bangel never had that. Cangel never really had a shot - which made it all the more tragic.

Well as of right now, I haven't seen past season 2 of Angel (my box set is on it's way 😀) so I can't really judge fairly. But without seeing the last 3 seasons, for me right now, I just can't picture them together. Maybe that will change, who knows but I just love Buffy & Angel alooot. 🙂
