Buffy vs. The Beast?

You think she could've taken him? I think so. A big, chunk of rocks with twisted horns that neither Faith nor Angelus was an equal match against. Buffy would've kicked his ass. What do you think?
 
Eh, doubtful. Buffy had trouble fighting Adam. A robot.

A demon made of rocks...that'd be difficult.
I think Faith kicks better ass than Cry-Buffy.

Completely. To beat the beast you need to take a beating. Faith is way tougher than Buffy.
Probably the biggest difference in Faith and Buffy in this situation would be that, upon realizing just how powerful the Beast actually was, Buffy would have broken off her attack, gotten away, and planned a better battle strategy, hopefully with some very powerful backup (as in, Spike, Willow, and Xander and his faithful wrecking ball from Season 5.) Faith was always impetuous, always preferring to charge blindly into any situation before assessing the options, and her fight with the Beast perfectly illustrates the fact that she hasn't learned any restraint in prison.

I Honestly think Willow would have been a better candidate to take on The Beast. Strenght obviously wasnt working so spells and other stuff would have been a better try. Besides Willow held off Glory on her own, gave Jasmine/Cordy a run for her money as far as keeping the soul in the jar, and although this was later.., she gave thousands of girls super powers.
 
Buffy would find a way eventually, though I'm not sure how. In fact I don't even know how anyone would be able to do it without The Beast giving them the weapon.
 
In a fair fight Buffy wouldn't have stood a chance. If we're talking strategy, who knows, but Faith's punches didn't even phase him, and Buffy's only slightly stronger than Faith. Angel hacking at him with a sword didn't phase him either, the Beast just chuckled.

I think Angelus would have been the best candidate to fight him, and that's who wound up killing him. Screwing with him and playing on his lack of speed & smarts.

Screwing with people is Angelus' best power, sure Buffy mocks them, but Angelus gets his yayas making people's worlds fall apart.
 
I don't think Buffy could have taken him if she just waltzed in empty-handed like Faith did and tried to kill him using sheer brute strength. She would have probably used her speed to her advantage, like she did with Caleb, and certainly would have brought people to back her up. Plus, she had a nifty troll god's hammer to bring along.
 
I think Buffy could have taken him on more as shes been out fighting longer. As apose to Faith who had been stuck in prison for a few years. But I don't think Buffy would have made a lot more difference, maybe injured him slightly but that would be about it. The Beast was just too strong, he beat Faith to a bloody pulp and if it had been Buffy I think she wouldn't have been far behind Faith.
 
I dont know, it defiately would not have been easy for buffy but thats the annoying thing that comes up when you mix the two shows together you will never know.
 
buffy could totaly kick the hell of the beast becasue fiath had a gooo she hit and made him angry and buffy is much and i mean much stronger then faith
 
I think that Buffy would take it, but not in her first fight. Much like the way the Ubervamp kicked her ass royally the first time she fought him and then she regrouped, found her strength, and cut his head off with some barbed wire. That's the thing about Buffy... if at first she doesn't succeed she will try again and again and again until she finds a way, with or without help.
 
In a hand to hand fight, Buffy would get crushed, just as Faith and Angel did. How do you hurt rock? You can't and Buffy would have realized that and come up with a winning strategy.
