Just to let you know that we have set up a chat room through mIRC. You can find it on the 'Afternet Random Server' and join the channel #area-51. This is a joint room for buffybytes, After-Darkness, Roswell-Boards, Lotr-boards and britpack.com. You still may use the [HASHTAG]#buffybytes[/HASHTAG] room as well, if you prefer. We hope that this room-combination will make more traffic in the chat room.

If you have any problems let me know.

Chat Update:

Alternatively, you may use the chat programs located on www.britpack.com or www.destroythering.com. However, you will have to register at one of these boards in order to use the chat there.

Click on 'Chat' in the toolbar at the top of the page at DTR or the 'Enter the Chat' link at Britpack, then 'Enter Chat', and when the program loads it will ask you if you want to download the java applet - click 'yes'.

You're all set. 🙂

Please do not post that you are in the chat and waiting for people or that no one is in there - these posts will be deleted. 🙂

We will try and print a schedule showing when people are in chat more often so that everyone doesn't keep missing each other and so instead of chatting all the time people can post too 😀

Better still I am working on finding a hack that will make chat easier and display on the board how many users are in chat 😉 I have seen such a thing around before 😀
 
wow matt, that would be soooo cooll! Good luck with finding the hack...i know i've seen it on upperboards...but i dont think that will help :S! Can't wait to see it.....well hopefully..fingers crossed.😀
 
Ohh yay it would be good to be able to see who's in chat already - I get disappointed if I go in the room and no one's there!!! See you all in there!!!
 
Yeah, a real-time option for IRC would be a splendid implement to the already growing *back* in stature BB. Be sure to log in this week to see how you all are getting on with your lives and what not. 🙂
 
Glad to see there is another IRC chat room. I just started visiting the other chat room before buffy-boards shut down. I'll definitely be stopping in.
