Dunno if anyone noticed or not, but Welcome to the Hellmouth/The Harvest premiered 12 years ago today.

Can't believe it's already been that long...doesn't seem like, huh?

12 years on and still having crazy insane nut cases like us following the show...says alot. Especially when we are getting a continuation of the show. Pretty sweet for a mid-season filler.

Wow, this makes me sad actually, just makes me think of all the time i could have had with Buffy if i'd watched it from the very beginning instead of last year 🙁 Although maybe i wouldn't of appreciated it that much as i would have been like 4/5 now i think about it...:lol2: Oh well happy 12th Anniversary Buffy 😀

12 years...wow, I feel old. I actually kinda dread the day when Buffy will be as far away as Bewitched is now. But hopefully with the same constant cult following, haha. Like Kean said- 12 years on and it's still got as many as us crazy die-hards....definitely says something. Happy 12th Anniversary Buffy!

Oh man, I can't believe it's been 12 years!
Like many others here I also didn't watch the show from the very beginning due to pretty young age at that time (12 years ago I was 7...okay, then add another year or 2 for it to come to Germany, but still, pretty young), but I personally like to believe I still came on boardd on time, before the original run of Buffy ended 😀
Well, anyway, it's very good it has been so long ago and yet we all still remember 😀 That's one sign that a show is good, everyone still remembers it, even after decades.

I'm so glad I had Buffy in my teen years....otherwise I would have been spouting all the psuedo-intellectual wittiness likes those kids by that creek that was owned by guy called Dawson 😉

Yeah, the last two years I celebrated the Buffy 10th and 11th aniversarries by having huge Buffy marathons (Okay, they were by myself, but still fun. 😉) and although I knew it was the 12th aniversary, I didn't do anything.
It's cool to think, though, that even after twelve years, the fanbase is still going strong. And to think I was only two when it started. Had to throw that in there to make you all feel old. 😉

So ive been a lurker for some time now but saw this and registered to the forum to reply.

I grew up in the days when the WB made its big splash on pop culture, I was in 7th grade when buffy first aired and figured it was a cheesy show like the rest of the WB shows lol and didn't give it a second thought, I remember laughing when i heard about "Angel" i was shocked that a show like BtVS was popular enough to warrant a spin-off.

It wasn't until my junior year of high school when i started catching re-runs after school that i got hooked into the show. I jsut watched first out of curiousity and my huge celeb crush on SMG lol. I love good story telling and great characters and thats what buffy had, surpsingly. I then started watching the new eps as they came out and was a huge fan of the newer seasons.

Now 12 years later through the magic of the interweb im hooked again! I went through all the seasons plus my first ever run through of Angel this past fall/winter. Its been 2 1/2 months since i finished "NOt fade away" and yet i was compelled to start "Welcome to the hellmouth" this past weekend, im about halfway thru season 2 now. THis show has a grip on me like no other and i don't now why, i'm not nearly as passionate about any other show. I even look-up and read articles that disect BtVS trying to figure out why a cheeseball show like this is so good, so compelling!

I did realized recently i have a thing for flawed characters and seeing them get crushed and damaged emotionally. Its sadistic i know and no show deals out the crushing emotional damage better than buffy lol. So maybe thats my answer idk.

I remember in HS my gf making fun of me for watching it and now beeing a 24 yr old male who is into BtVS still seems odd but it has me.

ANyway i thought i would use the 12th anniversery to share my story.
