Yeah. I'm still not able to come up with a decent vote. They were each useful in ways that matched their respective personalities, although I still maintain that the vamps were more useful at demon fighting than was Riley. I really don't think I can pick one. Angel and Spike both did their fair share of helping and harming. In terms of fighting, though, I think she was a better slayer for having known and fought both with and beside both of her vamp boyfriends.

I'm voting Spike because he was there in so many ways, for such a long time. I mean he helped in the most mundane ways...babysitting, to profound ways..saving the world, and all the myriad ways in between. And Buffy came to him so often for so many things. In spite of the fact that he was far from perfect, he was so upfront about what he was, she knew exactly when and for what she could count on him.

I never got a chance to vote but am glad I never.

Because Angel and Spike in my head are almost in a tug of war over Buffy almost trying to beat each other in her affections and what they have done to protect and serve.

Spike helped her beat the first and he truely loved her. Yet Spike always asked for solid back before he got his , soul some money or blood or even Just Buffy herself. Tempting her into the bed darkness.

Angel loved her from first sight and was her soulmate , and as much as I hate to say this will always be in her heart of hearts because First loves never truely dies . I am guessing it really hurts Buffy to speak of Angel. He however getting back to my point ( ramble ramble) was always there for her sure he disagreed with her but was always by her side when she needed him the most. Even when she never knew he was there.
