Buffy’s conversation with Willow - Part one

Buffy sat on the sofa waiting for Willow to enter the room. In order for them not to be disturbed Buffy had contemplated hanging a Do Not Disturb message on the front door, she had turned off the television and the radio even the phone had been disconnected.

Willow knew something was up when she wandered into the room, she saw that Buffy was sat on the sofa and that there was no noise in the lounge. Willow sat down opposite Buffy, “So what do you want to talk about?” asked Willow. Buffy put a book on the coffee table.

With the table between them Willow looked at the book with the sheet of paper on top of it, she was surprised by its title, “How to control the vampires.” Willow looked puzzled as she looked to Buffy. asking why. “I want to get my tactics accepted by them,” said Buffy.

“I take it you mean Angel and Spike?” asked Willow. Buffy began to nod in reply, “It took many years but I think they are both right where I wanted them, even other vampires about them see me as a kind of friend to them thing is I am not a true friend to them.

I am the Chosen One, chosen by the Powers That Be to be one who will control them, one who will put them in harm’s way, even my Watcher started to see himself as a friend to Angel,” said Buffy. “What do you expect me to do?” asked Willow.

Buffy smiled to her best friend, “I have decided that now is the best time to start to be seen as I should be seen, I wanted you here so that I could tell you that I plan to change my way,” said Buffy. Willow thought about what Buffy had said to her.

“You say that but you have always fought against the vampires except Spike or Angel,” said Willow. “True but from now I will battle them at every opportunity in a way that those around me will know that I am the chosen one,” stated Buffy.

Willow took out a notebook and listed a few of the people whose names that Buffy would need to tell there was her sister Dawn and her watcher Giles, Willow hoped that Tara would be someone Buffy would include.

Even though Xander had got on the wrong side of her several times Buffy often took pity on him though that was mainly due to his friendship with Dawn. Willow knew that Buffy often had problems with Anya but she would speak about Buffy as a friend.

Willow caste a curious glance at Buffy, she wanted to understand the thought pattern of why Buffy’s conceptualization of Spike or Angel should be included. It seemed strange to Willow not to include them yet Buffy was meant to be a vampire slayer.

“I have often spoken to Angel and Spike and included them in my plans for the future, not now though today is the time to make plans to cause them to be included in my plans for their total annihilation. The problem will be to make plans against them.

Buffy told Willow she had sought her to create a plan to trap Spike and cause his end. Willow thought about what they could do. “Spike has often appeared as though he was on our side though he has caused me to fear him more than once,” said Willow.

Thinking about the time she had felt fearful of him Willow remembered the time that Spike had attacked her in the college room she shared with Buffy, admittedly that was when Spike learnt that he was incapable of harming any human.

Yet Willow had been put in a fearful situation. There was the time as they wandered away from the old school when Spike had caused Xander and her to regard themselves as mere problems for the slayer. And Spike appeared to enjoy causing them that grief.

Willow started to ask Buffy if they should contact the PTB to see if they had any plans for Spikes future, they did. Though they were in support of Buffy ending Angel. Willow had Buffy be careful about who was chosen to help end Angel.

Willow pointed out that because of Buffy’s attitude to those two specific vampires her friends had begun to be in favour of all vampires. “If you want to change their attitude you are going to need be adamant about your reasons.”

The Powers That Be expected Buffy to wait until they had made the most of Angel and Spike. Willow wanted Buffy to tell her when that would be. "You will caste a spell to make all the Potentials become full slayers," said Buffy. One will be in an asylum, the sudden surge of extra strength

coupled by the dreams of battles between vampires and slayers will make her need to be in the asylum. Dana will seek vengeance on the vampires, though once Dana had been placed in the care of us slayers, then we can begin to launch a war against all who are demon.

With large gatherings of Vampire Slayers around the globe, aided by Faith both the original slayers could train what were the Potentials to be fully fledged vampire slayers. Buffy began to feel aware that Darla had killed herself, Buffy was despondent because she had wanted to kill her.

In villages, towns, cities and countries the slayers began to cause the vampires to feel that initial feeling of fear, making them run into the forests and mountains not that the massed ranks of vampire slayers would miss an opportunity to end any vampire they discovered.

Rather than chase the vampires around the world covered by the sun the vampire slayers set about chasing the demons from hell down from the north, thrusting the demons further south. The slayer often thought they had a large job to do until countries at the north pole were cleared.

Soon was the day that countries were noted as being demon free, the evils message that there would always be an evil had been dealt a very significant blow. Though the end of vampires was not noted to be overnight it surprised the vampire nation that hell was losing.

The slayers began to thrust fear into the hearts of demons even if those demons whose hearts had ceased to work. The vampire slayers benefitted from the reduction of souls that were accepted into the ranks of the demons; the demons felt that reduction of souls in their ranks.

A great many reports came to be created, as more often the minute hordes of demons faced large insurmountable odds as the further south the army of vampire slayers spread. Even those who had gathered underground found themselves the target of trappings of rockslides by slayers.

Once the masses of non-corporeal demons took cover they found their corporeal entities needed a place to stay, that ended the non-corporeal demonic beings being able to test the resolve of the slayers want to battle. Non-corporeal demons became corporeal they lost battles against slayers.

Then it became noticeable the demons had burrowed to deep as Hell’s pits of brimstone surged up to roast the demons. The burning heat which was once a help to all in hell now became a hindrance as the molten rock caused the demons to seek the safety of a cooler climate.

The molten rock caused the cooler burning rocks to rise to the surface. All those from hell were faced with the cooler climes so the vampire slayers threw all kinds of cool or warm rocks down into the depths to stop those below from escaping, even those who needed the heat to survive.

Buffy’s Conversations with Willow Part 3

Buffy hurriedly sat herself in the drivers seat of her car and tightened the seat belt before she checked the view from each of her rear view mirrors, opening her side window she shouted to Willow in the next car, “You should convince yourself that you can win as I once did.”

Willow engaged second gear ready for Buffy’s signal to start. In an attempt to sneakily begin Buffy engaged first gear but she began to spin her wheels though there was no forward momentum, Willow gained a rapid momentum though she did not cause the wheels to spin.

Willow smiled as she spoke to Buffy on the mobile phone. “Did you see how well I caused the wheels to spin,” Willow kept her wicked grin to Buffy, “And if you continue to watch you will see how I keep control as I round the corner,”

Buffy allowed herself to watch as Willow did as she had boasted. As they rounded the corner the stately home came into site both cars built up their speed as Willow caused the gates of angle iron to slowly swing open allowing them safe passage.

Willow laid back in her drivers seat as she heard the voices of The Powers That Be to echo inside her head such was the clarity of what they said there was no doubt at who presented them to her, the only question being might be was they living or dead.

Entering into the great hall through the two storey arched high doors. Buffy and Willow looked impressed towards the massive artworks on each wall of the hall, Willow pointed to one above the flight of steps that once bore the image of who was the owner of the home.

Such was the era back then when the man was the owner of the house, not now though. For Buffy knew it was her ancestral family while Willow’s family cared for and had taken ownership of the greenhouses and the surrounding gardens in years gone by.

The years and months had taken control of semi-circular passing of the moon over the green vegetables and herbs that grew in the shade houses. Buffy smiled as she watched how Willow daintily cared for the herbs that grew in hanging baskets.

With the male population being found to be demon the herbs grown in the shade house’s made the demons attempts at escape foiled. Every window now appeared to have bars placed on the outside of them and the wrought iron doors and gates appeared to be chained.

Having fulfilled their hopes and wishes in the home that Buffy and Willow thought had been haunted the pair made their way home after they discovered that the demons they had found were dramatically obliterated from its walls.

Buffy’s Conversation With Willow Part 4

Willow made a cuppa for both her and Buffy not long after they had returned and had sat at the kitchen table where they felt able to relax. Buffy wanted to know who it would be best to speak to, to find out what had happened while they had been gone.

Willow suggested that although Anya wasn’t high on their list of friends she usually had her ears close to the ground. Buffy looked out of the window, she was worried that no one could face a trouble free life. “Is there anything to make the end of the worlds problems seem right.”

Buffy sat down and leant forward her head in her hands. Willow moved closer to Buffy’s side, “Is there anything I can do?” she asked. Trying to wipe the tears from her eyes Buffy replied to her friend “Everything just appears to be wrong.” Buffy looked to Willow.

“They only good that happens seems to be from humans but there are many other humans who want to cause harm so why am I doing what I can to halt the forces of evil when the Powers That be seem at a loss of what they can do to help?”

“It is true, I do see demons wandering on the streets causing mayhem and destruction to anyone or anything they want with seeming impunity, like it or not you have placed yourself above all of us. Maybe we have allowed ourselves to see you as our leader,” said Willow.

Buffy started to look out of the window. “Is it me, by wanting someone else to stand up and be counted that I am helping to cause the problem?” asked Buffy. Willow looked deep into Buffy’s eyes. “I hope you know that I will always try to be at your side,

when you decide what to do please know I will be there even if you cannot or do not see me,” said Willow. Breathing in deeply Buffy threw her arms about Willows shoulders and hugged Willow. “So tell me what can I do next?” asked Buffy.

Willow stared to her friend, “You may not like this but The Powers that Be do not seem to interrupt even when we really need them to considering that you might agree that the Devil does not get seen to cause any manner of evil,” said Willow.

Buffy faced her, she kept thinking about what Willow had said, “I have never thought about it like that but you might well be right. It does appear as though those we see, who we thought were just the minions were the ambassadors and those who lead the ambassadors are the evil.”

“Could it be that who we consider to be the also rans were actually the top of the line bad guys?” Buffy faced Willow, “And if so who could it be who the best of the good guys are?” asked Buffy. Willow recoiled in horror.

“So the church leaders when they say they are talking to God are they lying,” Willow stepped back a few paces, “Do they mean they are The Power that Be,” Willow gazed open mouthed to Buffy. “Who does that make the Watchers Council out to be?” asked Willow.

Suddenly Buffy burst out laughing, “No, it couldn’t be,” she glared at Willow then shook her head. Then Willow began to laugh, “Would I be right in thinking that you thought of the burning bush?” Embarrassed that Willow might have just read her mind Buffy shrugged her shoulders.

“What do you think we ought to do?” asked Buffy. Willow picked up a book by an American author, the Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs. “If he could be seen to be a good guy then the slayer might well be the leader of the good guys,” said Willow smiling to Buffy.

“Then the Powers That Be are merely a matter of our faith,” said Buffy. “Having said that you and I could continue our fight against the evil in the knowledge that our battles might quite well be a lot more beneficial than we thought, so let us pool the potentials again,” added Willow.

Buffy’s Conversation with Willow Part 5

Buffy and Willow had left their apartment and wandered out of the gate in the gardens fence. They walked for what Buffy thought was ages. “Have we been walking down a slope?” asked Buffy. Willow dropped a marble onto the track.

With Buffy Willow watched it roll ahead of them, Buffy had no idea how long they continued to walk for. Willow slowly shook her head as they continued to wander down the onto the grassed area. Buffy exclaimed that the grass seemed prickly underfoot,

Willow grinned at Buffy’s outburst. “The grass is what I remember it to be like,” she said as she plucked a few blades of grass and tried to crush them in her hands. “This is what some folk refer to as the beginnings of hell.

They kept walking for what appeared ages, Buffy felt as though she had wandered aimlessly in a maze for what seemed like ages before she stopped. “Where are we now?” asked Buffy. Willow grinned, “I wondered when you were going to ask.

No one would ever guess this is hell, it looks to nice, the fields of grass beneath your feet.” Willow pointed to the beauty of what lay before them, “Nobody could believe so much pain could be given to a person here, be that their to their soul,” said Willow.

“So if the body dies and gets buried or cremated then it is the soul that finds its way down here to hell,” said Buffy. “True enough but let us face it causing pain to a persons soul could be to hard so only one demon here can bring a persons body back to be as it was

a demonic entity will have much more fun once the body has been returned,” said Willow. “What demonic entity could make a soul return to be a body?” asked Buffy. “That is how we know that the Devil is still here,” said Willow.

“You make that sound as though it is a surprise.” Willow behaved surprised by Buffy’s comment. “There is a reason why no miracles have been granted to the human race, God grew tired with the many that gave pain to other humans.”

“Then what I heard is true, I was told that the Devil wanted to be the one who took me into his domain. Who will take his place once he has me,” Buffy faced Willow, “That is if he ever catches me as hopefully I go to heaven,” said Buffy.

“That mainly depends on who happens to be closest to you when you die, never go anywhere by yourself, being with a vampire will not be beneficial to your afterlife,” said Willow. Buffy looked upward, “could it be a problem not knowing who is in charge of heaven.”

It was when they had returned to their apartment that a globe of pure light appeared around them, neither Willow nor Buffy could see anything, knowing they were near as they were holding hands. A voice came from within the light.

“Something neither of you has considered, the Powers That Be have left all of heaven to be in the hands of the last worthy slayer,” Kendra appeared to them. “I do not see myself as the replacement for God as there are many here who guide me in what I do.”

Buffy’s Conversation with Willow part 6

Buffy woke up an hour earlier than normal the following morning, Buffy she gave herself a shower then dried off. Rather than getting dressed she put on her white fluffy bathrobe and going to the kitchen she saw Willow sat on a chair at the dining table.

Buffy was surprised her to see Willow bent over by the table. When Willow was aware that Buffy was there Buffy knew that Willow was distraught because when she looked up at her Buffy Willow’s eyes were so red and her cheeks were flushed, showing the evidence

that a myriad of tears had recently flowed down her cheeks and Willow had tried to wipe them away. Buffy was aware when she looked to Willow that she had been there since the previous evening as she was wearing the same clothes as she had been wearing the previous day.

With an arm around her friends shoulders Buffy asked Willow what was troubling her. Fighting through her disturbed emotions Willow gave life to the problems in her mind. Willow told Buffy that she had remembered some of the conversations she had had nightly with Oz,

when Oz had spoken of the thoughts he’d remembered of the genius of Albert Einstein. Of the thought processes that Einstein had created and that many hours passed when Oz had attempted to understand how Einstein’s thought processes had come to be.

Oz maintained that Einstein’s was not so outstanding, more so that many people thought others were somewhat less. Many people had considered it to be that Einstein was the first of an advanced being rather than of a normal human, like those that heralded Einstein were not.

Many humans were so intent on trying to understand humanity’s capability that they failed to give themselves the ability to advance to a human form. Willow laughed as she remembered the stupidity of those who Oz said were the so-called intelligent people.

Oz referred to the so called intelligent people who proclaimed that some ancient Asians had built elaborate coffins for some special humans. Oz declared that many those peoples of various races normally built elaborate coffins for people to venture to the following community.

In a burial coffin that reflected the persons work or ambition during that person’s life. Buffy offered to make Willow some breakfast which Willow agreed to. Oz declared that many peoples of many communities normally had the dead travel to the next world in a coffin

that depicted the type of work they had pursued in this life. After devouring a few slices of bread Buffy and Willow found the time to go to their room and get dressed. They each gave each other the will and ability to carry on. Each of them devoured a few slices of toast and a cup of coffee.

Buffy felt much better, smiling to her friend Willow who was thankful for the sustenance. They each considered each other to be in a better frame of mind as they faced into the quietness of a time that was counted to be from the perfect happiness of a timely exactitude.

With eyes glowing to each other, the happiness that was counted from the times of exactitude the pair felt moments of joy as each of them gave pleasure at the memory of having happiness with the other.

Buffy’s Conversation with Willow part 7

Each one of them had found a belief in the others point of view which both of them found was lucky for both of them as both Buffy and Willow had faith in each other to believe what the other had believed in the days gone passed.

It was Willow who pointed to the side of the path as they ventured towards it. Able to tell Buffy how the track appeared to slope upward to the right. Buffy agreed with her, “Having lived on the hellmouth I would concur that the path might go down as Hell.”

Thinking her thoughts might have been dubious, she was shocked when the horse and cart that drove down the path towards them carried a coffin that was occupied. Buffy looked to Willow, “should we let it pass us and honour its passage?”

The pair gave their best wishes to the unknown occupant as the carriage passed them. As they wandered further up the path Willow asked if they should try to find out who the occupant of the coffin was. Buffy thought it best they forget about the coffin.

“Should we find out if the occupant, then was a vampire does it then follow that we should follow it down the path into Hell?” Willow began to agree with Buffy, “Though maybe knowing who the vampire was might be good for us

but then again if the vampire is recognizable to us does it mean the vampire is not dead?” said Willow. Buffy allowed herself to smile. Chasing the horse and cart that carried the coffin they caught up with it as it entered track headed down into a cavern.

Buffy destroyed the back of the cart and freed the coffin from the cart, pulling it backwards it landed heavily on the ground, Willow pulled the side of the coffin, so she and Buffy could finally see if the coffin bore a pile of dust or if they knew who it was.

With the top of the coffin open to the elements both Willow and Buffy stepped aside from it, “I think I know her, though I cannot remember where from,” said Buffy. Willow was as surprised as her friend. “I cannot remember her name though I am sure she sat at the front of

the history class that we attended at Sunnydale High, I remember when leaving the class early one day that I saw her about to get ready to go,” said Willow. “At least she did not become one of the girls who no one knew,” said Buffy.

As they tried to remember who the girl was the girl sat up then ran at speed from the rear of the coffin, surprised by her movement both Buffy and Willow froze to the side of the coffin. “I wish we knew who she was though,” said Willow.

Buffy looked to the base of the coffin there is a finger on the lining, “Could it be the finger of the Vampire, “said Willow. “Once the finger had come off the vampire it would have become dust,” said Buffy, “So it will probably be it’s the last of the vampire’s victims.”

Smiling at her memory Willow smiled to herself as the fingerprint was of the girl who attended history class. Buffy asked Giles to find where she had lived. A few days later the girl was found to have lived in the outskirts of Sunnydale.

Willow remembered her as one of those who was on the coach that was headed out of Sunnydale when she was after Warren. In agreement with each other found themselves glad they had recognized her. At least her parents could have a funeral for her.

Buffy’s Conversation with Willow Part 8

Finding a brief relaxation in the park, sat on a bench that overlooked the lake and the swans. Watching as they sailed over the water both Buffy and Willow were happy in the knowledge that they had found the girl and allowed her great joy when she thought of her parents.

Looking at the ripples on the surface of the water behind the swans Buffy started to wonder how the parents of all the humans who had died could have reacted. The more she thought of them the more she was filled with remorse, she faced Willow hoping for understanding.

Willow smiled to Buffy, “Knowing how the parents of the dead who had become vampires should not affect you Buff, how would those parents have known that the love of their life, their child, have become one of the undead an evil bloodsucking fiend?” asked Willow.

Buffy thought about what Willow had said and was glad, she knew she was getting older and knew there was a possibility she would one day soon want to have a child. A thought of hope for the safety of her child became a priority for Buffy.

“How can I bring forth a child into this world knowing that my body will hold me back from battling the undead as effectively as I have?” asked Buffy. Willow smiled to her friend, “So now is the time you should allow the knowledge of what needs to be does become.

What you seem to have forgotten, Willow breathed in, or it is something you never knew, the ability you have to seek the wonderful if not dreaded demon and still look for others without letting people see what you are thinking.

Buffy grinned to Willow, “There is something you have failed to see about me, it is about the reason why I have not let anyone see me showing any sign of regret or any look of emotion. “What is it then?” asked Willow. Buffy smiled.

Willow opened the door with the back of her hand so they could both wander outside without leaving their fingerprints behind them. Going to the drivers door of the car Willow put on her driving gloves, gripping the steering wheel she waited for to put on her seat belt.

Doing hers up she accelerated so fast the wheels span forcing Buffy back into her seat, “Willow what are you doing?” asked Buffy. Willow grinned yet without turning to face her friend, “Does the seat belt feel more comfortable now?” asked Willow.

Buffy thanked Willow and wished they would soon be where her watcher resided. Willow beamed to Buffy, “I think it wonderful thank you still look forward to a meeting with my uncle Rupert. Buffy gasped, “I never knew that he was your uncle.”

Willow tried hard to hide her smile from Buffy. “Giles is none other than a good friend to me as he is to you, though may we often hear his voice guiding us,” said Willow.
