Buffy’s conversation with Willow - Part one
Buffy sat on the sofa waiting for Willow to enter the room. In order for them not to be disturbed Buffy had contemplated hanging a Do Not Disturb message on the front door, she had turned off the television and the radio even the phone had been disconnected.
Willow knew something was up when she wandered into the room, she saw that Buffy was sat on the sofa and that there was no noise in the lounge. Willow sat down opposite Buffy, “So what do you want to talk about?” asked Willow. Buffy put a book on the coffee table.
With the table between them Willow looked at the book with the sheet of paper on top of it, she was surprised by its title, “How to control the vampires.” Willow looked puzzled as she looked to Buffy. asking why. “I want to get my tactics accepted by them,” said Buffy.
“I take it you mean Angel and Spike?” asked Willow. Buffy began to nod in reply, “It took many years but I think they are both right where I wanted them, even other vampires about them see me as a kind of friend to them thing is I am not a true friend to them.
I am the Chosen One, chosen by the Powers That Be to be one who will control them, one who will put them in harm’s way, even my Watcher started to see himself as a friend to Angel,” said Buffy. “What do you expect me to do?” asked Willow.
Buffy smiled to her best friend, “I have decided that now is the best time to start to be seen as I should be seen, I wanted you here so that I could tell you that I plan to change my way,” said Buffy. Willow thought about what Buffy had said to her.
“You say that but you have always fought against the vampires except Spike or Angel,” said Willow. “True but from now I will battle them at every opportunity in a way that those around me will know that I am the chosen one,” stated Buffy.
Willow took out a notebook and listed a few of the people whose names that Buffy would need to tell there was her sister Dawn and her watcher Giles, Willow hoped that Tara would be someone Buffy would include.
Even though Xander had got on the wrong side of her several times Buffy often took pity on him though that was mainly due to his friendship with Dawn. Willow knew that Buffy often had problems with Anya but she would speak about Buffy as a friend.
Willow caste a curious glance at Buffy, she wanted to understand the thought pattern of why Buffy’s conceptualization of Spike or Angel should be included. It seemed strange to Willow not to include them yet Buffy was meant to be a vampire slayer.
“I have often spoken to Angel and Spike and included them in my plans for the future, not now though today is the time to make plans to cause them to be included in my plans for their total annihilation. The problem will be to make plans against them.
Buffy told Willow she had sought her to create a plan to trap Spike and cause his end. Willow thought about what they could do. “Spike has often appeared as though he was on our side though he has caused me to fear him more than once,” said Willow.
Thinking about the time she had felt fearful of him Willow remembered the time that Spike had attacked her in the college room she shared with Buffy, admittedly that was when Spike learnt that he was incapable of harming any human.
Yet Willow had been put in a fearful situation. There was the time as they wandered away from the old school when Spike had caused Xander and her to regard themselves as mere problems for the slayer. And Spike appeared to enjoy causing them that grief.
Willow started to ask Buffy if they should contact the PTB to see if they had any plans for Spikes future, they did. Though they were in support of Buffy ending Angel. Willow had Buffy be careful about who was chosen to help end Angel.
Willow pointed out that because of Buffy’s attitude to those two specific vampires her friends had begun to be in favour of all vampires. “If you want to change their attitude you are going to need be adamant about your reasons.”
