Buffy's Death

I think dracula was talking about the demon world. I don't think that much humans even know what a slayer is, but it seems like any self respecting demon knows what a slayer is. And I don't think Drac has that many human friends, if he had he probably killed them or made them into vamps.
 
Yeah, like most demons know what a slayer is, and if they want they can research and find out who the slayer actually is, but most don't.

Leo Gorch for example says upon meeting Buffy, "You must be that Slayer I've been hearing so much about", not "You must be Buffy Summers, the vampire slayer".
 
But Dracula could have easily heard of her by name. So you can't disprove that.

Although I do like the notion of Buffy being infamous among the vampires.
 
Yeah, it makes sense that she would be infamous among vamps, as it's her job to slay/kill them. If I was a vamp and I knew that there's someone out there looking to kill me and my friends, I would try to find out who it is.

Wouldn't even try, because apparently he does know Buffy is the slayer. However as Doppleganger is pointing out the general population of vamps and demons seem to be to too dumb, or apathetic, or something to seek out the knowledge. I have given examples such as the Gorch bros, the bar demons, and the M'fishnik.

The evidence just doesn't seem to exist that the name Buffy is linked in the minds of the general demon population of Sunnydale as being the Slayer. They know what a slayer is, but they don't generally know Buffy is the Slayer.

I don't know, perhaps what Dracula suggests is a European thing or something. It isn't an inter-dimensional thing of Buffy-fame overshadowing Slayer-fame, because demons such as Sweet, and the Gnarl don't seem to make the "Buffy is the Slayer" connection either
