Buffy's Hair Evolution

This might be random and unrelated, but it does have to do with Buffy's hair. After I binged my way through Buffy for the first time, the summer I turned 22, I got my hair cut in the style of Buffy Season 1 minus the bangs, and it was one of the most well-received haircuts I've ever had. 😉

I LOOOVED this video! Love Buffyverse analyzing of any kind. 🙂 And if I'm right (I'm not sure but I think he said something like that.) Joss Whedon said that the only thing on Buffy that doesn't mean something is the Cheese Man. So the hair has to mean something, right?

This might also be random and unrelated, but I'VE GOT A THEORY about Willow's hair in Giles' dream in "Restless". The way she is wearing it is like half-pulled back, and I don't think we have seen her wear it like that since like Season 1. Definitely not since she cut it short. And it does make her look younger (as does her sweater, now that I look at it...). I think her hair is styled like that in Giles' dream specifically to show us that Giles, more than anyone, still kind of thinks of and sees Willow as the person she was when he met her, in high school. Maybe part of him is almost more resistant than the others to see her grow up.

Anya changes her hair practically every episode, but I agree, it would be good to see a video on the style evolution of the female characters as they mature. ?

I know right? The first person I thought when it comes to hair evolution was her! She almost had the hairstyles possible! Maybe to represent how she is searchung for her new identity in the human world? For exemple, in season 6 she had all theses hairstyles:
