Buffy's Haircut in ''Gone'': Hit or Miss?

Yeah, the first and maybe second time I watched season 6, I didn't notice it, but then I noticed that it was a bit dry and also a bit longer and more voluminous than usual I think .
 
I always hated it. Of course I'm biased. I tend to really hate chin length hair styles in general.

Really? It's pretty painfully obvious to me. It looks nothing like her hair. It's much poofier and drier. It's like it was SUPER humid that day and she ran out of whatever product she used. And then she flat ironed it and burned the hell out of it... and she didn't straighten it all the way and then brushed through it brushing out what was left of the curls. giving it that poofy, dry, really not healthy look it had.

I think it looks okey, I've never really put much thought into it.
I don't like Buffy's hair in season 5 though, but it doesn't bother me much.
 
Yeah, that wig was really, really bad. Even I managed to notice that there was something wrong, that will tell you something. lol

Have no problem with the hair after the cut though, looked good to me. 🙂

I just thought it looked like her hair in "Bargaining", when she first came out of the grave. I didn't think it looked that bad. The first time I watched I didn't realize it was a wig til she cut it on screen. I thought it looked a little weird, but I didn't think it was horrible. Just kinda flat, for SMG. Not a lot of color or style, you know?

But in Bargaining her hair was messed up because she had just crawled out of the ground. She's the star of the show.. and she'd always had such perfect beautiful hair (other than when she had crawled out of the ground). The fact that you thought it looked like her hair in Bargaining proves how bad it was.

When I first saw it I was like "Oh dear god, what has she done?!" But I did get used to it as the Series went on.

Buffy's hair was better in S4 & S7.

I liked it one or two episodes later when it didn't have that "I just got my hair cut" look anymore. But it was an adorable haircut. IMO, the long hair she had in S5/6 made her look a little too old.
 
It wasn't horrible, but it didn't do much for me. I tend to like longer hair most of the time, anyway. I liked it better after it grew out a little more and the high/low lights weren't as obvious.

I heard from Charisma (and lots of Keri Russell interviews) that the WB went nuts after Keri Russell cut her long locks off of Felicity because the ratings immediately went down and the network felt that was the reason. So for a while I'm pretty sure there was major pressure from the network for the main female leads to have long wavy hair. When the show moved to the UPN I think everyone was enjoying their newfound freedom and I think Charisma finally got permission from the network to cut her hair around that time.

As for Buffy's hair, I loved it. It was a nice change though I prefer her Season 2 look the best. I actually went out and got my long hair chopped off and styled like hers shortly after the episode aired (hey I was 16 and had no mind of my own when it came to all things SMG but I did donate it all to locks for love).
 
I love it at the time as that was the hairstyle i wanted back then but then that episode aired and i was like awww i love it but if i get it done everyone will think i am copying. lol.
Looking back at it now i don't think that hairstyle was the best but i loved it at the time
 
I dug it!! All the way!! Its hard for me to say SMG does something wrong. I wasnt ever a big fan of her darker hair that she did in some of her movies.. but this was completely cool with me
 
When I saw it, I was like "And I mean this from the bottom of my heart......awwwwww."

I totally dug it.. and somehow, to me, it worked perfect for the new-sad-Buffy.. 😛
maybe its the Giles kicking in on me, but everytime Buffy was sad I wanted to help her, haha, so cheesy

Haha. It was a good "awwww". 🙂 I dunno, she was like a puppy or something. It was very adorable.
