Buffy's Lover

I want to see Buffy portrayed as a happy woman in a happy relationship with someone who isn't going to hurt her. I think that, with all of the pain and sacrifice that she has endured, she deserves that. I don't care whether that someone is man, woman, demon, or some species as yet unknown, Personally, I think that the, as Xander described it, "long haul guy" will be someone we haven't met yet, but whoever or whatever he/she/it is, her happiness is what concerns me the most. So, in answer to the original question, no, I would have no objections to a permanent Buffy/Satsu relationship.

I'd rather see her happy on her own before we see her in another relationship.

Yeah, that, too.
I guess I'm in the "yes and no" category. When BtVS was airing, I really liked the Buffy/Spike dynamic. I thought they had great understanding and loyalty between them--even when they didn't want to. However, having said that, man or woman, the idea of Buffy being with someone that she both trusts, respects, and has no epic I-sent-you-to-hell/you-tried-to-rape-me baggage with is well . . . it's nice. I'm sure if the Satsu thing lasts long enough they'll eventually have their own baggage. But for now it is pretty cool that she doesn't have to sit around wondering if Satsu trusts and/or really loves her.

I guess I'm Spuffy at heart, but I do think being with someone who treats her well is healthy for Buffy. Which in Jossverse is as good as Certain Doom.

It was good for one episode, but I wouldn't want Buffy to be with a woman for good.

I mean, the scene where everyone walked in on Buffy and Satsu in bed together made the whole thing worthwhile. One of my favorite Buffy moments EVER, TV or otherwise.
