Buffy's mysterious bruises

I was just rewatching Graduation Day part 2, and there's something that made me wonder. She wasn't a big fighter in the end battle with the mayor. It was mostly just her leading him to all the dynamite right? Well, when she's shown post battle, she has a lot of bruises on her face and even a cut above her eyebrow, and I looked back, and she didn't have it pre battle, so, if she never fought, how did she uptain the bruising and the wound? any help?

well, there was a lot of pushing and shoving when the graduating class started fighting back, then she ran away from the Mayor Snake, and he crashed through a set of doors behind her, so maybe some flying debris hit her, plus, she dived out through the window befoew Giles blew the place up. maybe they were just accidents because of everything that was going on?
 
There are always a bunch more scenes shot than are used n each episode. Sometimes this shows up n less than perfect continuity. Maybe there was a deleted scene where Buffy had some really epic fight during the final battle, but at the final cut there just wasn't enough time to include it. That's one of the big reasons I've always wished Joss had seen fit to include some of the deleted scenes (and maybe some bloopers) in each season disc set.
 
I always thought she sustained the facial cuts from jumping through the window to get out of the library before Giles blew the mayor up. And they didn't seem that far away from the library that it's possible they could have got caught in debris.

That's just my thought on this anyway.
 
totally agree with DOI, it's from the blast, the mayor hurtling through walls to get her (debris) and then jumping through a window to escape! didn't seem too farfetched to me
 
I never saw that, so I going to go back and see if I see it or not, it is surpriseing what you miss seeing the first 20 or 30 time. ( I'm jokeing lol):lmao:
 
well, the police and fire department prolly took a few minutes to show up,
and there were obviously still vampires on the grounds.
maybe she went back and started fighting more after the school was blown up and before that end scene.
