Just curious, was it ever revealed who the Slayer was who died to create Buffy?

Yes, I believe it was India Cohen right? (anyone correct me if I'm wrong)
She is featured in books such as Tales of the Slayers (cannot remember which volume she is in though) and The Book of Fours.

Yes, India Cohen is the common theory as to Buffy's predecessor, but the thing is, she's not canon. The novels aren't considered canon and as far as I can remember, India only ever appears in the novels. Never any comics and she's never mentioned on the show.

Fanon deems Buffy's predecessor as India Cohen, but canon never mentions a predecessor by name - only that Buffy was 'prettier' than her.
