Buffy's sister?

Really tired so forgive if I ramble. This has been thinking for awhile, since the show first aired actually.. didnt know if it has been talked about or not.

So, Buffy's sister was made out of 'buffy parts' if i remember it was more than just blood, I think the word was 'stuff' or something like that. But still even if it were just blood I reckon the same would hold true.

Wasn't Dawn more of Buffy's daughter than sister? babies are 'made' from parts of their mother, and Dawn was made from Buffy parts. Dawn was Buffy's daughter not sister.

Well sure, Buffy does have a very maternal bond to Dawn and once Joyce dies this becomes even more pronounced but I suppose the monks were sensible in making Dawn her sister because it would have been very weird for Buffy to suddenly have a child and Dawn would have had to be a baby for that to make any kind of sense. A sister fits into her existing family with less problems. But metaphorically speaking, yeah I agree, Buffy is more like a mum.

In Genesis Ch 1, Eve was made from Adam's rib. In Genesis Chapter 2, she was made from the same dust of the earth that Adam was. With the exception of Cain, who found his wife in the land of Nod, all of the children of Adam and Eve intermarried, because there were no other humans on earth (I've always wondered, if that was true, just who or WHAT Cain's wife was) so if you accept the Biblical story of the Creation as truth, we are descended from an incestuous relationship.Even if you reject that story, many ancient cultures had no taboo against incest the way we do today. It was, in fact, quite common, even sometimes a requirement. So, either way, the human race is descended from incest many times over.

Dawn, on the other hand, as far as we know, was not made from any physical body part from Buffy the way cloning works, but through a mystical process specifically intended to change the Key into her sister, complete with memories and physical evidence such as photographs, school records, birth certificate, and so on.

But I agree with the incest remarks otherwise the beginnings of the human race don't really make sense.
