I understand how people can be irritated with people talking in their phones all the time and the spelling thing could definitely be a problem.. But I can't see how someone could be anti-cellphones! I don't understand how we could live without cellphones, lol. You had to plan everything before you left the house, exactly when and where to meet, what to do in case someone's late, when to go home, and so on... That's just not a way to live, heh. My phone was stolen a few months ago and I didn't have a cellphone at all for like a day and that was a huge problem cause I couldn't get in touch with anyone which pretty much meant I had to go home and then call people, go back out to meet them, eh.. Yea well.. I just could never live without a cellphone.. Just like I could never live without internet.
 
Well, i'm nearly at my thirtieth year on this planet and i have managed to get this far very successfully without a cellphone. To be truthful the idea that you can never get away from the rest of the world is a nightmare to me. Sometimes it's nice to just go out and know that nobody is going to be able to bother you and that you can have a little peace and quiet all on your own.

The world is a small enough place as it is, and massively overcrowded too. It is very hard to get a minute of the day to yourself anyway without carrying a phone with you 24 hours a day. To be honest i don't always even answer the phone when i'm home so i'm definately not going to worry about missing a call when i'm out.

Hey, what can i say? I'm just one of those kinda guys that needs his space. I appreciate my friends but i appreciate being able to be alone just as much. If they want me they can get me at home, assuming i actually can be bothered to get to the phone. 😉
 
Hey, just thinking...could TV become more visually, thematically boring as it continues to depict realistic tech advances? Watching Alias last night, half the ep seemed to be Sid, Vaughn, others tapping away on a keyboard. Everyone's just sitting, staring, reading, typing....Lost is exciting, refreshingly primitive by comparison. Like the cell, laptops become a narrative crutch. Luckily, Sid still takes time each week to kick some ass.
 
Whilst i'm a big fan of Alias i've got to admit that the continuous stream of technological gadgetry that Marshall keeps coming up with gets a little tedious. From what i understand the majority of the tech you see on Alias is possible in theory at the very least, if not currently in use by these kind of intelligence organisations (as far as they let us know anyway) but you get to the point where there is no plot device too unrealistic for that show. No matter what situation Sydney comes up against, Marshall has a new gadget to help her out. Basically it can get a little too predictable.

Ah I so understand and agree with you, I need lots of time alone, and sometimes I turn off my phone, but still, not being able to reach people when you really need to, that's just too annoying, heh...
