#BuffyTV: Any interest in a Firefly rewatch?

Hey guys,

I was looking to see if anyone would be interested in doing a massive rewatch of Firefly?

I was thinking of like a 14 episode marathon followed by the movie. We've been doing week by week for Buffy, but since Firefly is so short, I thought a one of special spree could be a laugh.
Or maybe broken into two blocks (like 1 - 9 day one, 10 - 14 and the movie day two)
There's always something really fun about watching as a group, and I think it'd work awesome with Firelfy.

I'm all open for discussion on this one, since it's not as structured as Buffy, so when suits, how you'd like to watch.

Like for me I couldnt' do it for a few weeks at the earliest?
 
Not as a marathon like that any time soon. I'd be much more likely to draw it out like the Buffy rewatch (both mine and the official one), with maybe one episode a week, just so that it lasts longer and I'm (hopefully) not quite as depressed when I reach the end of it.
 
I have never watched firefly, so it would be fun to do! But I can't watch that many eps on one day right now. 🙂 it also depends on the time zones and such I guess, if we're going to be watching it at the same moment or just day. 🙂

The rewatch wasn't long ago but I'm guessing this is a bit different. During BBtv people are in the chat, no? Which is why it can be fun to watch as a group.

Sadly for me, the chat is a no, no. I do love the idea and am happy when it works out. So if people seem to be interested I'd say go for it.




Totally off topic of Firefly but since BBtv is included why not see if a Dr. Horrible session would work. Not enough people watch that. But since I wouldn't take part myself it's not my place to go into it. Maybe worth a thought though.

Yeah BuffyTV is run on twitter now.

Yeah Dr. H would be a good one too actually.

This is all open so more of a discussion, like we may end up doing it week by week after we finish Buffy and Angel rewatch, I just wanted to see if people would prefer to watch all in one go since it's short enough to accommodate that!
 
The benefit to doing a marathon is that it will cover most of the day, so hopefully there is some time that everyone can participate even if they can't do the whole thing. We usually have to pick the time that works for the majority, and that means some are left hanging.

And for those of us who have seen it a bunch of times, it would be easy to just jump in and watch & comment. I participated in the rewatch last summer/fall (?) so I don't feel a need for a big rewatch but hopping in on that day when I can sounds like fun!

I would be totally up for a Dr Horrible rewatch!!

Since I'm just coming back here, are we only chatting on Twitter? Because I'm not on Twitter. 🙁
