Buffyverse fanfic idea

A new Slayer has awakened, and his assigned watcher is William the Bloddy, aka Spike. What could possibly go wrong?

What do you guys think of this idea?

Not a bad idea, with some good writing it could work. The biggest issue I can see is that it would be out of character for Spike to become a watcher. Did you come up with a plot that explains how that happens?

In "Restless 4ABB22", one of the dream sequences has Giles and Spike on a swing set and Spike saying:

SPIKE
Giles here is gonna teach me to be a
Watcher. Says I got the stuff.
GILES
Spike's like a son to me….

The writing could go on from there. I would keep the man with the cheese alices in the story.
