Hi. Just wondering if you guys thought if it was still possible for a Buffverse spinoff to happen after all these years. Do you think Joss would still be interested? Do you think a network or cable channel would run the new series? Above all else do you think it could work seeing as how its been over nine years since "Angel" was last on the air and over ten years since "Buffy" series ended. thoughts comments.🙂

A new "Buffy" spinoff is most definitely possible in the sense that "Star Trek: The Next Generation" was a spin off of the original series. Buffy herself, as a character, and none of the other characters who starred in the original series are likely to have any part in it except possibly as in brief guest appearances. A whole new cast with a whole new background and story line is almost certainly best that we can hope for at this point.

The only other workable option would be as an animated series featuring as many of the original cast furnishing their characters' voices. That might work. It would certainly have the potential of being better than the current comic book versions.

Buffyverse will never die.
Even after Joss knocks on wood dies, it'll still continue.
The fans drive this and will continue to drive this and pass it on through the generations.

Honestly, I don't think Joss would be interested in doing a buffyverse spinoff unless it was his only work option. He seems to be enjoying what he has moved onto; I don't know that backtracking (so to speak) would be the best use of his current success.

Would another tv series coming out of the verse be possible? Yes, a reboot or exploring another slayer/character would have potential.

Well Joss wouldn't have to do it just give it his personal approval. Marti Noxon or David Greenwalt or whoever you want could run the actual show and Joss could be a creative consultant for it. What do you guys think of that option? 🙂

I'd personally be fine with that, but I think Joss has stated so many times that Buffy is his baby, that I don't think it'll happen anytime soon.

I think the franchise won't die though, we got the comics years after Buffy was over, and I feel like Buffy is now in the same league as some of the superheroes. She might get revamped at some point.

I don't think we'll ever see anything with the original actors ever again though, that's in the past and I think it'll stay there (as much as I wish for a reunion).
