Bye for today.

Man Oz, that was beautiful! I wouldn't change a thing! The first half is my fav because it reminded me of my childhood so much and with that some important people and moments. Keep writing the way you have. I don't know what style is what but you got that one working for you just great!😉

Well good for her and I'm sure we'd all like to read them but you know what we would like even better...?

Poems from you! 😉

Me???LMAO!I cant write poems...I wouldnt bore you with my sisters poems anyways....Well...I dont write poems...Sorry to say....

lol...rayne...that was the illest....only like a few lines...but it was hello kitty original...that scarecrow line was great....

that first stanza was a good poly...but the only thing i'd like to say to you is to find some images i havent heard before....bear your soul...but think hard and visualize creative ways to say something...try to say something that has NEVER been said before...

wow...oz...that was filled with connection and love...that was beautiful...

Thanks Rayne, polexia, and Soulgasm. I really think there's a large portion of people on the boards that are writers/poets too, but they just haven't seen this thread. Me thinks we should try to get that sub-forum started for non-Buffy/Angel poetry, essays, or any other type of writings we've done. Rayne & Soulgasm: should we try to bring it up again with Buffy Summers?

A writer could never suffer from some feedback among friends.🙂

I think it's very important for people to be able to have some way of expressing themselves. Wether they are serious writers or just outlet writers/ it's good to share those feelings. Put them out into the world for others to read and relate to. I definately think a lot of the members of this..."family" should be able to share this very significant part of themselves with one another. Connection is a must. I say we push for it. 😉

rayne: i agree with you!

here is a poem for you all to enjoy(or not 🙂)

HIS HOUSE

The door is open,
he walks inside,
he drops his pen,
he drops his sight.

The house is cold now,
that she's gone.
The house is empty,
with little room for harm.

This is the house,
where sorrow rules,
this is the house,
where nothing's proud.

Some really nice poetry on here. I used to write a lot a few years ago as means of emotional outlet. It's very effective, especially for those who are more prone to verbal catharsis than physical. I've written very little lately, but here goes anyway.

My promised land, a chimerical reverie
is where angels sing in discanting melody

It's the pseudo matter
the emotional rape
the worn out patterns
I wish to escape

And upon return, with guiles realised
innate I burn; your smile demonised

Your countenance I find
resembles a shark
I wish to be blind
As I like the dark

Where demons leave by ophthalmic divorce
and angels sing in harmonic discourse
my vexing convictions; insidious as intended
and my indecisions; kept un-offended.

I love when people use vocabulary beyong my comprehension.😛 I absolutely love your poetry, corax. You should write more often and show us your work. One thing I love is simplicity because it can say so much:
I wish to be blind
As I like the dark
^Awesome!

And I just noticed your signature. I've seen that Twilight Zone episode - one of my favorites.🙂

WOW that was great Corax!

i like the same part as Oz qouted! and

"It's the pseudo matter
the emotional rape
the worn out patterns
I wish to escape"

that was... wow...

(BTW... here is one of my fave poems By dorothy parker:

Dorothy Parker - For a Lady Who Must Write Verse

Unto seventy years and seven,
Hide your double birthright well-
You, that are the brat of Heaven
And the pampered heir to Hell.

Let your rhymes be tinsel treasures,
Strung and seen and thrown aside.
Drill your apt and docile measures
Sternly as you drill your pride.

Show your quick, alarming skill in
Tidy mockeries of art;
Never, never dip your quill in
Ink that rushes from your heart.

When your pain must come to paper,
See it dust, before the day;
Let your night-light curl and caper,
Let it lick the words away.

Never print, poor child, a lay on
Love and tears and anguishing,
Lest a cooled, benignant Phaon
Murmur, "Silly little thing!"

I have to agree with Polexia on my fav part being...

It's the pseudo matter
the emotional rape
the worn out patterns
I wish to escape

As Cordy said it best..."Over identify much?"

As I do.

Great work man. Love your stuff.

ok: here is another poem by me 🙂

Your reasons are unreasonable,
nothing makes real sense.
Nothing is the same no more,
you have to make amends.

The world has gone and left you there,
standing on the shore.
I have to go and save you now,
"¦that same old lore.
