I'm sorry, but I thought Caleb was hilarious... Nathan Fillion played that role so well! I just got done rewatching S7 and I had forgotten about when he first appears and picks that Potential up on the side of the road... I cracked up laughing at this:
CALEB
Well, Shannon, you feel like telling me why those Freaky Joe's were after you?

SHANNON
I'm not sure.

CALEB
Well, do you ever think that maybe they were chasing you because you're a whore?

SHANNON
(looks at Caleb, scoffs) What?

LOL Yes, I know I'm warped....

I think there was one bit that i thought was quite funny but also really quite wierd...it's the bit where he says something like...."I always wondered what if at the last supper you ordered the white...what would he make it out of his lymph or something?" lol...yeah i'm a little weird i thought that was so funny!

Me too, I was watching that episode a few days ago and my sister looked at me like I was a complete freak when I laughed at that bit.
My favourite Caleb part was when he woke up from being stabbed by Buffy and says....
'ARE YOU READY TO FINISH THIS.... BITCH!'
Me and my sister really wet ourselves, its just the way he says it.....
😛

I think I've already given you Mighty Boosh icon karma, but I'm just gonna do it again ^^
Nathan Fillion played Caleb very well, I think he could make most characters funny.

But, Caleb was (like miromurr said) a total misogynist, sometimes I found that hard viewing, I wanted to slap his cheeky face, or bum. But that was all part of his character, and I thought he was a great one.

hmm... I agree, he is sort of funny but I had a real problem with his face (his expression and hair cut made him look really ugly)

I love Caleb. Even though I was sad when he killed so many of the potentials, I still found myself giggling at so many of his lines. Especially in Dirty Girls, he has a lot of funny lines. Ahh good ol' Caleb.

It was just so out there. I love it! Nathan is a fantastic actor. And to think that I first saw him on One Life to Live years ago as Joey Buchannan. (A show I still watch, mind you. 😀). And he's got a new show that looks promising. He's quite the talent. I'm not sure anyone else could've played that role quite as well.

I totally agree! And you quoted the line that I loved the most in that exchange... When he said that, I literally burst out laughing!
I really did love Caleb. I thought, as villains go, he was one of the best because, like The Mayor, he was so nonchalant when he delivered some of the creepiest lines... Even though he was this total masogonist, I loved him. But I LOVED the way Buffy killed him... Poetic justice much?

I thought he was soo creepy, especially when we first see him picking up the potential slayer. Then when I began watching Firefly and saw him as the character Malcolm, I was so wary of him throughout the entire series lol 😛

I loved Nathan Fillion as Caleb and I loved him on Desperate Housewives, too. 🙂 I have never seen Firefly, and don't plan to 'cause it doesn't seem like something I'd like. Space stuff is not my thing. 🙂

It's actually nothing like any other space show I've ever seen.

Caleb was like the female version of Glory, and ohhh the akward and awesomeness that could have ignited between the two.. had they met. But, I won't compare and contrast, they certainly weren't the same from every teeny perspective. He was straightforward and humorous (this isn't Glory contrast), at the same time adding creepiness to his general masterpiece of a dialogue. So kudos to Nathan, KUDOS.

I hate how they killed him though, I was anticipating much more impact since he done exactly that throughout the season. I was hoping, impossible or not, that he'd take on the First's form more in depth, so that when Buffy would have killed him.. the sense of win against TF would have been much more winning. Not to mention it was totally overshadowed by Angel's brief arrival, but I loved Buffy's line "..he had to split." 😀

I loved the way Caleb was killed... Buffy splitting him from the crotch up was poetic justice because he was such a masogonistic woman-hater.

Caleb was my favorite character in s7(or maybe Andrew) caleb was so funny but in an evil way. Like when he says Do you think maybe its because your a whore? And I wasted a perfectly good knife on that girl. Evil but hilarious.

When he said the whore line, I was literally middrink of Coke and spit it halfway across the room... I was laughing so hard! I just didn't expect that and it totally caught me off guard. :D
