Luke posted this over on the stroke9 forums 🙂

The Stroke 9 and Vertical Horizon combo known as Boys Gone Wild will be at North Star Bar on Powell and Green Sunday, May 11th at 10:00... We'll also be at Blake's in Berkeley on Friday, May 16th at 10:00... Both shows are 21 and over.

Don't forget about this show tonight in Berkeley!

Anyone looking to get in my good graces will go forth and bring back with them pictures for me of my Luke 😀

Greg posted this info:

What do you get when you mix a quarter of Vertical, an ounce of S9, a healthy dollop of Jager, a questionable band name, and over one thousand years of combined musical knowledge?

Boys Gone Wild, tonight at Blake's in Berkeley! We're going to pick up where the soundman turned us off last time.

Make no mistake, this is not a sanctioned, licenesed Stroke 9 show. It is a side project, but is nonetheless mind-blowing. We've been touring this around the Bay, we did this gig last Sunday night in North Beach, we considered it a success. And so did a few people in the audience. Highlights and lowlights included:

A healthy Stroke 9 set, including 100 Girls set to the music of 3 Doors Down's Superman.

A decent Vertical Horizon set, which has VH lead singer Matt Scannell spinning in his grave.

Some Two Live Crew, Bee Gees, George Michaels, uh, Toto, and Eye of the Tiger, which we nailed. On tap we have Snoop, Cindi Lauper, Eddie Murphy, I mean, you just can't stop us.

So how do I find out if I am a candidate for this show, you ask?

Question: Nasty Little Thoughts is my absolute favorite album ever, and I've traveled here to the Bay Area at great expense to hear the songs presented clearly and professionally by Stroke 9, and I'm easily disappointed. Should I go?

Answer: No.

Question: I like to drink and yell at bands. Should I go?

Answer: Yes. You'll fit right in.

Question: I just got out of rehab. Should I go?

Answer: Probably not.

Question: I'm looking for a solid Friday night, some cocktails, cover songs I know mixed in with original s9 and vertical songs, maybe some karaoke if I'm drunk enough, ok, ONE more drink and that's it, what time is it?, nice song!, how are we getting home?, barf, those guys rocked.

Answer: That's not a question, but it sounds like you already went to the show.

So there you go. We enjoy it. You can too. See you at Blake's in Berkeley tonight. We start at a sharp 11ish.
