Any of you try ashwagandha extract? or maca or oregano extract? What about tumeric or ginger?

Wondering what the thoughts were.

Turmeric was massive a few years ago in horse feeding. Claimed to help arthritis/joint pain, coat condition and sarcoids. Along with ginger it is supposed to be good for the tummy. I never used it myself, then a while later it started popping up as a wonder anti-inflammatory for humans (specifically knees). No idea if it works, I personally don't do well on ginger, and never really tried turmeric outside of curries and cooking 😛 . Some claimed it would not work without an appropriate pepper ratio. Seemed an odd choice for horses to me but some people swear by it. Lots of people sell it on facebook. There is a lady at the local markets who sells a tumeric drink - I heard her tell someone not have have it if they have a hangover because it would put too much stress on the liver. Her mint and turmeric mix was supposed to be a bit of an organ detox of some type. Yum, I don't know if a little cup once a month really makes any difference to human health. Perhaps a good alternative to soft drinks.

Oregano is a great herb, one of my faves. Grows easy here so of course I like it - requires little care haha. I would defo try extracts or oil from it. Be tasty too! There are probably a few different types around. It seems to be good for the bunnies and I tend to crave it when I get infections. I suspect it might be high in vitamin A - buns can't have it every day. Which might make it good for skin. It be interesting to play with - like in foot soaks or teas. I'd have no idea of dosage though, be fun to look into - thanks for the idea 😀 I just started a few more runners from it in the hydroponics.

I really like rosehip oil (seed oil), and it seems there has been some kind of shake up in the rose hip supply as the oils I buy have all changed. Might be one to check out. I used to feed rosehip granules to my old horse to help with her front end lameness (a lifetime of fencewalking) and when she was moved and taken off it she became too lame to ride. I use the oil on my skin - sorta like a multivitamin for the skin. Only a tiny amount is required. It's good for healing scars too. It can be ingested as well.

No idea on the others sorry. I do think oils are back in the rise, but I might just think that cos I like them so much right now 😀

It's actually turmeric and black pepper.

Thanks for the reply. Trying to decide if I want to invest time and money in it. I am trying to get one over on the government but might up end up getting one over on myself.

People in LA pay $3-6 for tumeric/black pepper and ginger shots all the time. Oregano extract shots leave a funny aftertaste but supposedly they help prevent colds? Maca is all over the place too, but I'm not sure how exactly people use it. All these ingredients have been so popular the last few years that local Costcos even sell them.

I don't know if any of the stuff works but I still buy it from time to time.

Is it bad that I knew you would know exactly what it was?

Thanks!! I am thinking of using these tinctures as a trojan horse to get my CDB company name trademarked. But I'll have a few hundred bottles and want to make sure I can actually sell them as well.

Maca is for hormones and memory. But what about Ashwagandha? I think that one I could really market the hell outta as it's adaptogenic.

I took an oregano extract shot before getting on an airplane last weekend.

I would think that would work to get your CBD name trademarked. As far as selling it, how do people spend their money around you? That would be my only concern. People here don't think twice about spending for something that's vaguely health related and cool....even if they can't tell if it does anything.

I've never tried Ashwagandha but have seen it around. After spending 2 min googling it right now, I'm tempted to go out and get some to try. Clearly, it can be marketed and sold....or maybe I'm just a sucker.

But these are oil tinctures, do you think they'd be better or worse than a shot? I need to look at my ™ paperwork. "Dietary and nutritional herbal supplements; Dietary and nutritional supplements in drop form and liquid form; Herbal tinctures for medical purposes" yeah, that could work. I show the specimen of that stuff, get the TM and then push through the CBD on the same TM. While other people are waiting years for the TMs to go through.

I was planning on selling them at chick stores. Tanning salons, hair dressers, etc.

I've used both and like shots a little more only because they seem easier, like grab and go.

Chick stores might work, I always grab that stuff at juice or coffee shops, or grocery stores.

Thanks for talking. Helped to give me some ideas. Ideas on ways I can spend more money.

Oh! You mean shots like 5 hr energy. I was thinking literally, like someone pours you a shot of it.

Coffee shops and groceries are, mainly, chains, so you have to get it in through distribution at corporate. Am looking more independants. Though there a few indy coffee shops here.

Both! You can get fresh made or a tiny little bottle.
