looking to see how many of you are all for spike. here is your chance to tell the boards what it is about spike that sets you on fire(besides saving the world) ok lame joke i know. anywho, also would like to ask you all a question...
what do you think of spike not smoking anymore in episodes?
and also, anyone else notice he don't get the finger nails painted black anymore ::crying2: i thought that was pretty hott! anyone else missing it?
 
The fignernails, heck yeah! but he's not as evil and... dark anymore, so.. No more painty-nails... The smoking? Not so much, but it was a signature Spike thing, so I wouldn't mind seeing it happen again.

so true, he's not so evil anymore, and i know all the dark clothes, everyone sees that as evil, i dunno kinda silly i think..well not for the show, i mean, black is more evil then wearing bright colors. but for sure, like to see him light up again...not like he's gonna die from it! 😀

Of *course* he's still looking sexy... I doubt he'll stop looking sexy until he's like... 47, at least.

and i wanna comment on magui's sig. funny you write about spikes fingernails, and there is a pic of it. only he looks like he's about to kiss angel LOL
 
I love his punk look most...but he always looks great. It's the eyes and that mouth...::drool:: But I love how observant and perceptive he is. He always seems to be the one that says what everyone is either thinking, denying or avoiding. He's take charge and self sufficient. I love that voice...not just the accent but the depth. I love the way James acts with his whole body from his facial features to his cocky stride. I love his passion and his drive (both James and Spike) I love his devotion and tenacity as well as his complexity. Spike is beautiful and tragic and thanks to James has become the most well rounded and amazingly well developed character that I have ever seen. I love them both with an undying affection.

All that being said...THE GUY IS HOT!!! 😀
 
Unfair, rayne you took away all the things I was gonna say!

I also love the way he never cares thats soo funny, like in becoming. And hes good at fighting, thats pritty awsome and the way he always has the right thing to say oh and of corse, hes the MOST GODDAMN HOT GUY IVE EVER SEEN!!

Hmmm, can't say that I really miss the black fingernails too much. However, now that ya'll mention it, I can't seem to remember the last time I saw Spike smoking a cig? I do miss that about him though. I hope they bring it back, but i doubt it ::uh::

Now on to why I like Spike so much. Well at first it's just the way Spike carried himself. His cocky attitude + mannerisms, his sarcastic remarks, his look, as well as his "BIG BAD" persona made it real easy for me to like the guy. I always have a habit of rooting for the bad guy....guess that's why I also took a liking to Angelus when Angel lost his soul in season 2. Anyway, when Angel left Buffy and Spike became a regular, I still thought he was pretty cool. But it wasn't until they started going more in-debt into Spike's character (like history, past battles, etc) that I really started growing more fond of him. It wasn't just his look anymore (although I have to admit I thought that the way he killed Nikki and took her jacket was bloody wicked-::drool::....ok I'm finished drooling now) that made me like him, it was everything that I had already knew and was still learning about him that made him more likeable to me. Especially the parts about his pre-vamp days as William. Just seeing those moments as well as looking at Spike's character it made me realize that Spike wasn't a average vamp. He was actually (to some extent) just a more confident William....minus the soul of course. (not sure if that made sense to anybody else). I guess what I meant was that when the demon took over William's body it really wasn't much different from the original host of the body (like Angelus was in comparison towards Liam)....😕 I dunno if I'm making any sense now, so I think I'll stop my crazed rambling now

Anyway those are some of the reasons why I like Spike so much.

William was alot more different, ifyou read the book "we are actors" the text really shows you what kinda person William was. But sometimes william was the same, its kinda like when Xander was split in half in "the Replacement" they were both so different because one was more professional and one was more dorky, but they were the same, both loved Anya and liked the same jokes, thats like William and Spike. Totally different, but also the same.

Hmmm...He is sooo Sexy..with those tight clothes, and also those cheek bones and he is really good at fighting!!
 
Yea and I was watching an old episode the other day, it was the s2 "lie to me" and then Spike was there and he was talking to that Ford dude and its so awsome, he can project his voice so well thats what I think James can be such a good actor, he puts everything into his work, and it is really as though he is him, it takes alot to do that. me being in acting myself, I find it very hard to do that.

His theatre training and experience definitely show up with the projecting. During one of the Q & A sessions during Dragon*Con last year, the microphone/sound system went off for a couple of minutes, and James spoke and projected to the back of the room with no problem; the room was large enough to hold about 1400 people, and he was easily heard from the back of the room where I was standing. He said "And now we get to show what good actors we are" when he projected. 🙂
