Can Anyone Recommend Any Good Manga Films?

My friend has turned into a HUGE Manga fan latley and keeps saying how good it is. I might give it a go. Can anyone recommend any good films?
 
AKIRA, Ghost in the Shell, Princess Mononoke, Sen to Chihiro, Vampire Hunter D

Those are basicly the best of the best.

PS: Manga films don't exist, they're called anime.

i've also heard that ghost in a shell is good.. so my boyf says, but i've only seen the beggining so i can't really judge...
 
Ghost in the Shell was the most important source for the Matrix.
 
Yup Sen to Chihiro/Spirited Away is absolutely freaking INCREDIBLE. Funny, scary, sad, beautifully animated, excellent characters and action and creatures, as well as a stunning soundtrack.
 
My favorite!!

1. Hana Yori Dango (Boys before flowers) or if u want a live action version of that its called Meteor Garden. This is an Manga, Anime and Live Action drama.
2. Peach Girl also an Anime/Manga/Live Action Drama.
3. Akira. I love the Manga more then the film.
4. Real Bout High School
5. Volcano High School. Also a manga turn anime turn live action film. MTV will air the live action film on december 21st with the voice overs by Andre 3000, Lil' Jon, Snoop Dogg, Method Man and Mya. So a defenite!!!

Those are some of my favorites!!!
 
Chihiro is good, I didn't see Mononoke but everyone tell it's really good (i have to watch it) & I heard Evangelion was really good too, here r my suggestions ! Hope u'll like.
 
Evangelion was indeed the best, it rocked soo much, it's really awesome!
 
I did like The AniMatrix which was the collection of short animes inspired by and linking in to The Matrix. I would think that it would be a nice intro to the world of anime for a Matrix fan (although I'm no an anime expert). Akira was the one I liked best from the animes I've seen.

It's certainly very different to Western animation, although some of the Western stuff I've seen recently shows some very anime influences (think some of the cartoons that look a bit like Pokemon or similar - Clone Wars is my favourite at the moment, although that's perhaps a bad example of looking like Pokemon - definitely has anime influences tho')
 
Yes, Kill Bill was awesome, but it's not really an anime, not even with the neat piece of anime featured in it.
 
i didn't like the animee in kill bill.. i mean i love that film! but i thought the cartoon was UGLY!!! but i guess it has a great efect!

pokemon is bad bad bad! i hate when people see manga and ask if its pokemon!

That is a fantastic film although the film is a bit rude, but it still is a really good watch.
If you are a fan of horror then you will love it for sure
 
OMG i cant believe that nobody has mentioned the movie of Escaflowne OMG was that good its like my fave anime EVER!!! the art in it is like excellent and it was just so well made. it has a really nice sound track as well hehe

I also think that Evangelion was really good as well.😀

Ghost in the Shell is good, one of those films you need to see more than once to understand. I want to re-watch it (for about 4th time) but I dont have the time.

Perfect Blues also alright, but an 18 for a reason 😉. Also confusing, or maybe its me thats confused.

My friend (by friend I mean friend of a friend that I hated and he seemed to like me) was a Matrix zealot and always took the piss caus I like anime, then when the Animatrix came out he didn't hear the end of it 😉
