LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- FOX's session at the TCA Winter Press Tour today has generated quite a bit of noise.

Whether it be the identity of the killer in "Reunion," the fate of "Arrested Development" or the possible revival of "Futurama," there were plenty of interesting nuggets doled out by Entertainment president Peter Ligouri.

PRISON BREAK

QUESTION: Mr. Liguori, right here to your left. When last we left "Prison Break," it looked like they might actually get out or, if not, immediately certainly within a few episodes. Have you seen or read enough to be confident that that show can keep up its energy once they actually do get out of prison? I mean, it fundamentally changes the nature of that show once they go on the land, as it were?

PETER LIGUORI: First and foremost, when you have a show that is that creatively ambitious and that creatively dangerous, you don't have confidence in anything (laughs). You just go along for the ride. With all that being said, I think that show has really captured an audience's imagination. They love the thrill ride of each and every episode. And when and if the prison break does happen, I feel that there's a strong enough investment in the two lead characters that the audience is going to go along for the ride.

I don't think it's about wether or not the fans will stay for the show I think it's about will the show still be good outside of prison. I mean they kind of pigeon holed themselves by naming the show "Prison Break" what will it become once they break out...honestly how many seasons can this show last. I like it but I think we'll get two seasons at the very most and I don't see a second season being as good as the first...Hopefully i'll be wrong.
 
Well if you look at the clues to date. The Vice President killed her own brother. $500million donation from a company looking for an alternative fuel in her warchest for her campaign to be elected President. The secret service is corrupt and helped in setting up the killing of her brother. Yea I think there is more then two seasons because Wentworth's character is that of a genius and I'll bet a dollar or two he has something figured out on who set his brother up. But it is up to the writers to keep the quality of the show up there to keep the fans.
 
The flip side of the question is also interesting. Suppose they never break out, and they're still in prison planning another breakout at the beginning of next season. Is that any more appetizing?

Well that all depends on what happens with Lincolns trial.
