Can Someone be too Invested in Fandom?

Well....

I made my girlfriend color her hair red.

I made her legally change her name to Willow.

I bought a 2001 Macbook (just like Willow).

My girlfriend is not allowed to utter the words "Tara" and especially not "Kennedy" (and I made her refer to the former president as JFK).

She refers to me as "Oz" and she's not allowed to have silver bullets in the house.

Is that going too far? 😱

I checked that out when the article ran and I think it was essentially "debunked" by fans who frequented that board - it wasn't meant as a forum but as a news site, which for some reason used the layout of a forum.

Not that it couldn't happen. I've seen comparable sites, and weirder, just not Buffy-related ones.
 
Hm, the guys from Buffyfest 🙂 Constantly going to conventions, making interviews, one of them even has written a comic that got published. So there could be positive results from being to invested into fandom.
