Can someone explain exactly how the store works, what the bank does, how we get money

As I have said in the other threads on this, I don't know exactly how everything works. What I know is in the FAQ and everything else is a learning process.
Everything is so expensive because you are supposed to save for it. Actually considering the number of points people have accumulated since the store was added yesterday, they really aren't very expensive.
The store is just for fun, so there is no need to take it so seriously.
