It takes a lot out of her, so maybe she can only do it if she has to. So maybe she will do it for Xander's eye...

I read a "script" of the finale where Dawn asks Willow what they are gonna do about all the unknown potentials that were activated, and Willow said something like..."we'll find them, we have to..." i think that is going to be the spin-off plotline...why in the heck would Joss leave that big gaping plot out there and not end it?

She was high on the dark magic and rage at that point...and Buffy was going to possibly die from that wound. The situation is a little different, IMO.

I think it was because she was so full of dark magic. I don't think she would have the power to do it now.

Anyone here see Lord of the Rings? I say this cuz I think we'll see "Willow the White" in the finale.
The white hair and euphoric expression (in the preview) was a big tip-off for me, and leads me to feel that she will come to accept a pure/white form of witchy power. Hopefully this will turn the tide against The First.
As to the whole healing thread, I believe Willow would've tried to heal Xander. His eye was completely gone, though, so it may have only healed the empty socket (but hey... they don't call it "MAGIC" for nothing!😉). It would have been a great moment in the hospital if Will had offered to try with the healing, and Xander would refuse her help in order to protect her.
While I'm at it, props to Nicholas Brendon for what's the most convincing horrific scream of the series during his encounter with Caleb... I get chills each time they've shown the eye-gouging on "Previously on Buffy"!
