I have definitely been feeling it, temperatures have been whack and inconsistent.
 
Not as much climate change as humans destroying it, but this is a good article describing the damage to my river: Who killed the river Wye?

The weather has definitely changed, we're expecting temperatures in the 20s this week, very warm for May.
 
In the Great Lakes area, we have not seen rising temperatures that much. There have been five times I can remember the Toronto area getting up to 104°F/40°C but all of these times were over 50 years ago. The temperatures seem to be getting less extreme here, even if the polar parts of the world are getting warmer.

If you look back in history, a thousand years ago, it was much warmer. When the Vikings settled in Greenland, they grew crops of rye. You can't do that now - scientists are just beginning to test various hardy crops to see what will grow there now and rye isn't one of them yet. By the 1300's the colony in Greenland died out and we had the mediaeval ice age which lasted until about 1850.

Before I retired, my last job was at a company that made inverters to connect large-scale solar arrays (30 KW to 500 KW) to the power lines and also made fuel cell converters in 1.2 MW and 2.4 MW sizes. Unless you have some way of using intermittent power (like pumping water from the low side to pools on the high side of Niagara Falls to get extra water power), solar power has its problems - it takes a long time to make back the power expended in manufacturing it and one hailstorm can destroy it. You can't always guarantee the array output will be within the 350 volt to 600 volt operating voltage of the inverters but there is always night when you can guarantee no power will be produced.
 
It may have been warmer when the Vikings settled in Greenland, it was also pretty hot when the world began. Both of those times it was down to natural causes. The thing about now is that it is the fault of humans.
So how many humans were about when the vikings settled Greenland as compared to now?
 
Its just so dry. Usually we've had a little more rain by now.

I am not in the loop, but from what I have read, the farmers who seeded late last year had the best yield of the lot. The rain is coming later and coming down all at once.
 
Winters have been less severe in the past decade than they were in the 90s, but if that's natural or artificial variation or within tolerance is not known to me.
 
In my country, America, Middle America is definitely heating up. I live in Oklahoma now, and it was in the 90s in April. I have been told this is not normal.
 
Here in California, we had a killer heatwave last summer...and a few months ago, a MASSIVE amount of rain. I'm not looking forward to this summer, not at all!
 
Here in West Sussex UK we have the roughly the same amount of rainfall since 1770 but this winter has shown the highest on records so I guess it will be a hot dry Summer, temperatures has not risen much since 2004 before that .08 of a degree every decade since 1880 total rise 1.14 degrees, still 2 degrees below the medieval warm period and rising from the low in the 1700,s which was the coldest since the last ice age , I think our weird weather systems are down to the poles moving ie the North pole has moved from above Canada to above russia and I understand the south is on its way to Brazil
 
Very very dry here and we are into May now. My fruit tree leaves havent even changed colour yet. The street trees have lost a few leaves but not all.

The longer sunny weather goes, the more manic rage I get. Its going to be high 20's (Celsius) all this week. The blue skies are sending me wild in a bad way. Do places with a lot of sun have more violence? It really feels that way this year. Blue skies are not as nice as they sound when there is rarely a break. Blue burn out.
 
Summer is longer and hotter and drier, Spring is shorter and warmer and the weather more violent. Winter is shorter and warmer, it snowed exactly once last winter. Autumn doesn't exist really, where I am goes from the extreme heat of August to the chill of mid November in September.
 
I laugh at the stupid do gooders who walk to bring to the worlds populations notice that the world is heating up, that the oceans levels are increasing, trouble is they are to late. The world has already started to heat up and the worlds oceans have already started to rise all we can do now it complain about the dumb politicians of the previous 30 years who caused what will happen.

The Great Lakes area is not participating in global warming. I can remember five separate occasions when the temperature exceeded 40°C/104°F but the latest of these was in the 1970's. The coldest weather I have seen here was -26°C/-15°F but we rarely get that cold anymore.

The other side of the Great Lakes is, so while you personally might not feel the affects others are. I have friends in Minnesota that are feeling it, seasons not being like they were just a few years ago.

We didn't really see much of spring this year, and our winter was quite mild.
 
The climate here is not any different than it was when I was a kid. We've always had wide swings in temperature and storm activity in both winter and summer. One years weather is never just like previous years. The weather on earth has always been cyclical over the ages. Looking at a small slice in time of that data to try to predict what is going to happen is not the best way to do it. Now I'm not saying that we on this planet shouldn't do what we can to preserve it as best we can. I just think that situation is not as drastic as some politicians claim it to be. The don't give a rats @ss about the climate, they are just using it as a scare tactic to grow their voter roles.
 
Yes, and I don’t understand how people don’t see this as a real thing happening in the world.

When I was a kid, snow in December was not unusual at all. It was expected and people got excited about it. Heck it would sometimes start in November and you’d get snow until like February. Over the past few years, there has been steadily decreasing snowfalls to the extent that I genuinely think it snowed maybe 3 times in the entirely of Winter where I live.

The summers are getting way hotter and the winters aren’t near as populated with snow as they used to be.
 
The only thing I've noticed is that summers aren't nearly as hot as they used to be.
 
Someones been filling their pockets with little blocks of ice.

How many countries are facing hotter climes, I know the area I'm in is hotter than it was.
 
It was on the national news a few days ago that Toodyay has had less than 1mm of rain in each month for the 6 months from September 2023. Add to that Toodyay is only 85km North East of WA's capital city. We won't bother that in the 2021 census there was 953 people living in the town.
