As there is no way to incorporate a timer that aspect is moot. The above, including the sentence was a preliminary test for the possibility or onset of Alzheimer's. Passing said tests would indicate that neurologically your brain is fine. (for the moment at least!)

I love the 'only 55 people out of 100 can' bit. There's a bunch of internet ads these days that keep saying things like "Can you guess the correct answer? Only 35% of the people in your area can!", stats that I presume are just entirely made up (as 42% of stats are anyway). In some cases there is no 'correct' answer ("Is the picture a rabbit or a duck? 59% got it wrong!"), and I guess the whole exercise is built around a desire in humans to think they can do something that the majority of humans can't.

I'd bet 90% or more of native English speakers could read that with little to no difficulty

I do a lot of word searches and don't have to search for all the words they just jump out at me when I look at the puzzle. Same here. I found the C&6 right off once I believed the N was there I saw it right away. lol
