Canadians vs Americans

@Blaze western Canadian French is pretty unique, it's a blend of France French and Quebec French with half the teachers imported from Quebec and half the teachers Anglos who learned it through the BC school system. The girls thought they were proficient speakers but the locals seemed to think they were released from a mental institution. Most of the girls had done about 10 years of schooling in French but spoke English at home. But in all 3 cities we met lovely people who kept telling the girls to zip up their back packs and to not leave bags unattended. Pretty much everyone thought we were just looking to be robbed but we got through on our good Canadian karma.

I would love to hear BC French! Even here in Ontario there's so different kinds of French. The northern French is not the same as the Southern or the Eastern French. There's a lot of different dialects! And then there's the Quebec French which again is pretty different then the Ontarian French. Personally I think it's cool how we have so many different way to speak the language, but not everyone agrees with that. Canadian French is often viewed as "dirty" French. France does have lots of really friendly places though.

Kobi Levi is obscure but they sure worth it. Hubba hubba. I got into a long discussion with a rep lamenting how women has all the best shoe options. I must have sounded a freak.

And I agree with you Blaze, France does have lots of friendly people in lots of beautiful places, unfortunately they are still French.
Some French scientists have found a crevasse deeper, wider and longer than the grand canyon. It is about 10 foot under the snow and with an ice flow still in it. It is far in the north of Canada.
