I was responding to some other threads, and I got to thinking, BTVS has now entered itself onto a long list of TV shows that should never have been canceled. I offer this poll to people who would like to express their loss by voting for the show other than Buffy (we know she'd win) we wish had never been cancelled.

I voted for Farscape because I got into it most out of those shows. I do think its a shame about Firefly, Id like to have seen it!

Technically BtVS hasn't been cancelled, it's just come to a natural end as the star wishes to pursue a movie career and Joss stated that without him or her it wouldn't go on in this incarnation. 😉

I would have said Roswell, I used to enjoy that show, and also Dark Angel too. 🙂

I voted for 'Other', because I was really digging the show Haunted, with Matthew Fox. I was hoping it'd at least stay on for a season.

Yeah, Red Dwarf is interesting, because it's not technically cancelled so they're always talking about bringing it back. I wonder if Buffy will be like that.

This is what they're saying at their home site concerning bringing the series back;

Q. When are we likely to see a ninth series?

A. Doug Naylor was quoted in a recent interview as saying that the future of the TV show relates to Red Dwarf's cinematic release. A series will not happen until the movie is complete, and should the film prove a success, more are possible.

There is always the possibility of a ninth series, however; or TV specials. The Rimmer/Death cliffhanger could also be resolved in other media - but until the film is complete, no specific plans can be made.

Buffy the show is probably over, but Buffy the franchise could live on. My understanding of Red Dwarf is they didn't do a series each year; the first series was in 1988 and series eight came out in 1998 or somewhere around there. Someone from England correct me if I'm wrong, but I assume that shows on BBC don't neccessarily get new seasons every year.

I voted for 'other'. The one show I wish never got cancelled at all was 'Felicity.' Damn I loved that show and still do. I miss it a lot. Sux that it was on the air for only 4 seasons but at least it lasted that long. Plus my Felicity/Ben ship worked out! Yay!

I also wish that Birds of Prey didn't get cancelled either. I really liked it. Thought that it was actually gonna be on for awhile. Kinda weird that like the Sci-Fi channel didn't pick it up.

I voted other, and though they didn't got cancelled, but are (like Buffy) just going to end, I will miss "Dawson's Creek"!

Anyone remember a mid nineties sci fi programme called Dark Skies that starred Jeri Ryan? That was a good show unfortunately cancelled before its time.

I love dark Angel, im in the Uk so its still showing here, but i cant belive it got cancelled after just two seasons!!! How can they do that? it has a brilliant story, and they are even thinking about cancelling Alias!
Oh and also Popular, i cant belive that got cancelled!

OMG yeah, I remember that, it was actually developing into a pretty good show, and then, like all the good ones, it disappeared!

You know what? I thought so too but there's gonna be a third season of Alias! Me soo happy. I swear I'll totally die if they ever decide to cancel Alias. That show rocks! That show's gonna be like my fave show after Buffy.

Yeah I liked Popular too. They even had a mjor cliffhanger at the end so we never knew what happened.

I loved that show (Popular) as well, the ending was really annoying, we never found out what happened :S

grosse pointe, felicity, dark angel and Roswell
and since only dark angel was a choice i voted for that
