Cander vs. Dander

CANDER FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cander obviously for me since they're my favorite ship because they are so cute and amazing together, and it's unique how Cordelia was dating Xander when she was so popular and had everything she wanted!

Also Xander is pretty much Dawn's older brother, except they're not related!
 
Well, for me, Dander is not even a couple :/
I can't imagine them together. It's just wrong. He was her adult crush when she was a kid, nothing more, we all had one of those. But then, she moved on. I don't see a conection between them in that kinda way.

But Cander, they were so cute, and they grew up by each others side so much 🙂

OMG, that's how I feel too! Dander is just weird and Xander was like an older brother to her, which makes the whole kissie kissie smoochie smoochie thing really awkward for me.

And Cander was cute!

Exactly. He was like a brother to her. It would be just like we saw Buffy and Giles and romantical relathionship. They had a connection that had nothing to do with that kind of love.

In 7 years of a show, I was only 2 or 3 times really mad at Xander, when he cheated on Cordelia with Willow. That was really, really wrong because she gave so much for him, she changed her way of life because he told her that he's a guy for her. And then he did something like that. Don't get me wrong, I was mad at Willow too, but Willow was the one who tried to stop that, Xander acted like he didn't wanted to end it :/

Yeah I hated the Willow/Xander affair too, and that's one of the reasons why I don't like season 3 that much. Also you're absolutely right, Dander is like seeing Buffy/Giles which is gross, and Dander had brother/sister love not boyfriend/girlfriend love!
 
I don't mind Xander/Dawn, but I find Xander/Cordelia more enjoyable and interesting.
 
I don't like either one lol. But I do think that Cander is better. They were funny together. 😀

Cander was a awesome 'ship. Dander, I'm not even sure if I really count Dander as an actual relationship, but because of Buffy Season Eight I kinda have too, damn you Joss!

Just because you're close friends doesnt mean it cant progress. And he's only 5 years older than her.
 
I have not read the comics but the idea of Dander is really appealing to me. Dawn always had a crush on Xander and I think if Anya isnt there she is a good person for him.
I liked Cander but I am more Cangel than Cander. Plus i think Cander was good for high school years but they would have never lasted in the long run.

It's not about how old they are, he can be 300 years older then she is, I don't care. It's about what kind of relathionship they had in the show, how they talked to each other, and how he treated her.

Couldn't agree more. It's not about the age difference that makes Dander weird to me, it's because of their brother/sister bond that makes the whole kissing thing gross.

They weren't just close friends, they were like family because they acted like brother and sister.
 
I strongly agree with CordyandXander, Dander will always feel kinda disturbing to me and the way they interacted with each other implied more of a brother-sister bond than a let's-be-boyfriend-and-girlfriend bond

Buffy and Giles makes me shiver. Especially since Giles was like a father to Buffy. And I agree, I'm more for the Xander-Dawn-Brother-Sister-Relationship.

But anyway, I choose Cander. Hell I'd choose any Xander pairing over Dander (Xander/Faith, Xander/Anya, Xander/Buffy, Xander/Spike, whatever it is I'd probably like it over Dander) I found it pretty sweet when Xander bought the dress for little Cordy. (It was him right? I'm kinda fuzzy *puts on Giles glasses and begins research*) Also when Xander was all twitchy over the whole Cordelia-Wesley thing xD That was good, showed Xander still cared for Cordy
 
Cander by far! They were a entertaining and sweet couple.

I am not crazy about Dander. Their age difference doesn't bug me at all because there isn't much of one; but I can't stop thinking about how Xander's old crush on Buffy and how Xander use to be Dawn's babysitter. They seem to have more of a family bond than a romantic one. Maybe it will just take some getting use to?
