As they lay on the bed amongst nothing but the flickering flame of candle-light, Willow and Tara simply held onto one another as the hours continued to pass by in what seemed to be only minutes. Power still hadn't been fully restored to the campus, forcing anyone who lived on site to resort to using flashlights or candles. Not that the lack of power had stopped the two Witches from doing what they had planned on. Willow had promised to make up for everything that had happened between them, and Tara hadn't planned on letting her forget that.
"Feel better now?" As the words left her exhausted lips, the red-head continued to rest her head against the other girl's naked stomach.
"I would say y-yes." Her own body completely exhausted as well, Tara found her fingers trailing along the other girl's back, the patterns coming and dispersing at will. "What do you think?"
"I feel kinda numb right now." Smiling, Willow curled herself even further around the blonde's body, the warmth generated by the two of them seemingly able to heat the entire room. "But in a good way."
"Are y-you sure about this?"
"Tara, I told you. I love you, and this is where I want to be." Smiling as she heard the other girl's words, Tara's fingers continued on their pattern until they reached the top of the red-head's shoulders. "I'm with the one I love."
"Alright."
"Why don't you believe that I want to be here? Is it that strange?" Chuckling a little bit, Willow found herself thoroughly enjoying the other girl's every touch.
"No-one's ever said that to me before."
"I find that a little hard to believe."
"It's true though." As she heard the hint of sadness that had sunk into the girl's tone, the red-head lifted her head and stared at her.
"Tara, I love you." She smiled. "There, is that hard to believe?"
"No.." You're a Demon, child, that's all you'll ever be. Closing her eyes as her father's words came flying back to her, Tara sighed for a moment. "Just something I have a little trouble accepting."
"Why?"
"Ask me some other time."
"Alright. Didn't know you were going to go all mysterious on me." Continuing to smile, Willow perked up her eyebrows in a playful manner for a moment. "Although I can get into that."
"Vixen." The other girl's smile infecting her, the blonde found herself smiling in return.
"You know you like it."
"Maybe." No-one will ever love you, Tara, you know that. Don't try to fool yourself into thinking otherwise. "Maybe not."
"You just can't make up your mind, can you?"
"Y-you're one to talk." You're nothing more than a Demon. A disgrace to this entire family.
"And what's that supposed to mean?"
"Y-y-you tell me." Damn it, look at me when I'm talking to you! I don't care if you're crying, you look at me when I'm telling you what you are!
"You're a mystery, you know that, right?"
"Maybe."
