Cangel Love

So...since we have a Bangel appreciation thread somewhere, I think it's also time for some Cangel love on the Boards (the ship, not me, lol).
Well, I've always seen a lot of Cangel bashing here (I just came across the 'God I hate that ship' thread...and every second person seems to name Cangel), which is not nice at all! So people, rather praise and appreciate Cangel 😀

Just to keep it short.

Bangel = Puppet love. Time to grow up! But yes, dreaming can be fun.
Spuffy = Hot and sexy. Fun sure, but we´re talking about real relationships now.
Cangel = Attraction, trust and respect. You know the thing that makes relationships last.


Bangel had how many episodes? Spuffy? With more time Cangel would have been so much more loved. Now it´s just us few with the ability to see the truth that sees how beatiful this realationship really is. Time to wake up people!

I like Cangel more than Bangel, to me Bangel all seemed a bit phoney and forced, but Cangel definetly seemed more genuine and realistic, and i like Cordy and Angels characters.. But i disliked all the Ats 'ships in general, it all felt like the writers taking the easy option instead of bringing in new interesting characters for the AI crew to date.

Well i 1/2 agree i mean how could nobody have dated Gwen!
but Fresley is just so cute also i wished there woulda been more Dordy(Doyle and Cordy)

Cordy & Doyle is one id be very happy with, i wish they kept Doyle on and him and Cordy got together, even if it ment leaving Wes out the show

Definately I prefered Doyle over Wes He wouldn't have given Connor to Holtz then Connor wouldnt suck so much cuz hed have been a baby the whole series 😉

Sorry if it seems like I'm freaking out, but AAAH, I would NOT want a baby the whole series! I mean, the whole "Daddy Angel" thing was cute for a couple of episodes, but really. The show would wind up sucking beyond belief if Baby!Connor had stuck around for more than a few episodes...if I wanted to watch a show about a friendly dad and his friends, I'd watch Full House reruns. And the whole thing with him being taken started some incredible character development for Angel, Cordelia, and, above all, Wesley. I wouldn't have minded if he had stayed in Quor'Toth instead of coming back later as a teenager, though.

ANYWAY, back on topic...

I love Cangel. I really don't understand why people object to it so much...I guess the haters are just so hung up on puppy love-driven Bangel to notice how amazing it is, and I can understand that. I mean, Bangel was all angsty and forbidden, and people seem to enjoy that, but Cangel was true love! It was so much more mature and realistic...unlike Bangel, they didn't just see each other and thing "IT'S LOVE OMG." They actually took the time to build a solid friendship before finally realizing how great they would be together (of course, they realized it at the exact wrong moment, but that's aside the point!).

There are a couple reasons I dont like Cangel....
1.Dordy/Coyle way better
2.Angel isnt truely happy with Cordy(awakening he says Buffy when hes doing Cordy!)
3.Because its no different from Bangel even if he was truely happy with her he still couldnt be with her or hed end up being evil
