Cangel vs. Dangel

Which ship do you like better? Cangel or Dangel???

I really like Cangel and I think Angel loved Cordelia alot, but I think Angel's best partner is Darla. I chose Dangel not only because it's my second favorite ship, but I think Angel and Darla knew eachother evil and good because they were together for 150 years. But I will admit that Cordy knew Angel very well too.:smile3:
 
Well, you know who *I* think is best for Angel. But between these too, I would have to say Darla. I don't know, I've always saw Cordy and Angel as best friends, they had something precious, they could've share something lovers can't. Him and Darla, they have some kind of history, and that connects them. But neither of them is my couple perfect.
 
Darla, but only when he's Angelus. There's just something so deliciously evil about the idea of the two of them, back in their scourge days.

I don't mind Cordelia/Angel, but I think I prefer them as friends.

Honestly, I think Angel is best suited alone.
 
Angel and Darla doesn't make sense. He wouldn't be in a relationship with her while souled. and he wasn't quite happy with himself when they had sex the once. Angelus and Darla is the better pairing. Anyway, I pick Cordelia and Angel.
 
Darla and Angelus have a history together that Angel could never match with Buffy, Cordy, Nina, or anyone else. If there is even one yin and yang relationship in the entire Buffyverse, it would have to be them. Angel, however, has a stronger relationship with Cordy. Darla is the past that he is trying to atone for and put behind him, not that he ever will, at least not if Joss has anything to say about it. Cordy represented what Angel was trying to become, though, once again, he'll never manage to achieve it as long as Joss is pulling the strings.

Darla and Angel loved each other, if they were human, if they were vampire or if they were vampires with a soul. And although I use to be a huge Bangel fan and still somewhat am, I believe that Angel's love for Darla could and will never compare to what he had with Buffy, Cordelia, Kate, Nina, etc.

I'm surprised you think they were in love because, IMO, the show made it pretty clear they weren't.

Anyway - most of you know my opinion on Cangel and quite frankly, as ToShanshuInLA said, Darla & Angelus would make more sense.

But, I guess if I had to choose, it'd be Cangel. Cordy made Angel happy whenever she was around and Angel himself said Darla never made him happy, lol.
 
Angel cared about Darla a whole bunch, even after all that she was trying to do to him in season 2. That may indicate some kind of love. I don't know if it's romantic though. I like the progression of their relationship as we saw it.

I still pick Cangel, though. (sw)
 
I'd say that Darla and Angel's relationship was a whole mix of lust, obsession, need, ecstasy, destiny, passion... far too complex to be simply love.
 
I love Darla, especially when she got a soul.
But My otp wins all the time. Cangel is the best and no one can convince me otherwise.
I like Dangelus though.
 
I kind of get the feeling that Angel's feelings for Darla are kind of like Frodo's feelings for Gollum in LOTR. He wants her to be saved because he sees himself in her and she is the possiblity (wonderful or horrible) of what he can become.

I think he cared for her but wasn't in love with her. They were family but not really "soulmates" as Darla said.

I don't have a problem with Cangel other than the writers didn't develop it like they did with Spuffy. They knew it wasn't a popular pairing at the time so instead they went with Cordy/Groo/Conner and Angel/Eve/Nina (scratches head). They should have developed it and done what was good for the story.

So to answer the question I guess Cangel.
 
I don't know if Angel and Darla really loved each other. I mean part of it has to be the bond between a sire and the sired (not sure of the terminology). Darla made Angel so they are bonded by that. If they did love each other, I'm not sure if we were given enough to really show that.

As far as Angel and Cordelia....I just don't know. I mean they seemed to care for one another. Maybe my dislike for them is not helping me plead their case. I just can't wrap my head around this couple.
 
Come to think about it, it would be perfectly truthful to say "Both" if you subscribe to the belief that Angel and AngelUS are basically two different people, or even if Angel is the Jekyll to Angelus' Hyde. The two have certainly been portrayed as being two personalities living in the same body. Going that little bit further and saying that they are, actually, two separate people isn't too much of a stretch.
 
I think that Darla would be great together with Angelus, but not with Angel. I like Cangel, and I think that Cordelia is certainly better for Angel than Darla is.
