I've scanned through this forum, but couldn't find a similar topic - hopefully I've not missed one.

This thread could be used for people with other niggling canon questions 🙂

Anyway, I'm currently writing a fic and need to know if Dawn's birthday date is ever mentioned in the series.

As far as I can determine, Dawn's birthday is sometime during the summer.

In the "Blood Ties" episode it was mentioned that Dawn had a birthday shortly after the family moved to Sunnydale, and that Joyce had rented a carousel for her birthday party. They would have moved to Sunnydale during the summer after the incident in which Buffy's vampire-slaying activities result in her having to leave her old high school.

Her *actual* birthdate is September 26, 2000, when she "went live" at the end of the Buffy vs. Dracula episode.

The carousel incident that you mentioned was really just a memory that the monks implanted so it really didn't happen. But MASSIVE kudos on the memory. I had nothing.

Yes, but that false memory is really all there is to go on. Dawn doesn't have an actual birthday, so the fake birthday "programmed in" by the monks would be the one we're looking for.
