can't see reputation messages

For some reason I can no longer read as I type reputation messages - the area is blocked by a white overlay. I have the same problem with the boxes for post, etc.

Help?

It may be the type of skin you have, some of them have boxes that are very similar to the font colour

My skin is Spangel - and the comment boxes are red and black, but this is a white covering. As soon as I post it turns to red and black just long enough to see alphabet soup.

Do other Spangels have this problem?

only by changing you skin.. the color scheme of the skin causes the text to disappear in the pop-up box. It depends on how you are viewing the site from. IE, from a monitor you may be able to adjust the settings somewhat to view the text. The 'house' forum, on my laptop I cannot read the text, on the mac monitor I can read it just not easily, but on the HP monitor I can adjust the settings and it's nearly perfect.

If you can adjust the RGB of what you are viewing in on/from, it should help, if you cant no, the only thing that you can do is change skin. 
The other thing you can do, if you just looove your spangel.. is deselect the Buffy Boards window.. for some reason if I do the karma box.. type out the message and then click another window (like the browser bar at the top) the screen color changes. But then as soon as you make the Buffy window 'active' again, it changes back.. so theoretically you could read it, it would just be a bear to edit.

It doesn't mean anything. It just lets people leave comments on a post without derailing the thread with off topic stuff.

How do I add a comment to the bottom of someone's post?

This is the karma or reputation feature of the board.

1. To give karma, look at the bottom of a person's post, to the right of the date. You will a link to "Give Reputation".

2. Click on the link, and a box will pop up that allows you to type in your comment.

3. Click on "Give Reputation".

I do all that - the problem is that there is some sort of screen over the comment box which prevents me from seeing the comment as I type. It makes it hard to type a message without major mistakes.

nightshade answered your question. I've not had time to go through all the skins, so I would choose another skin for now or type into the box and then highlight the text to check for any mistakes.

I went through all of the themes and the following are the ones where the text matches the karma text box, so the comments are 'hidden'

Spuffy (difficult but can be seen)
