So, yesterday was the Can't Stop The Serenity charity event here in Seattle, and I must say, I was surprised by how nicely organized it was. This was my first year, and I had so much fun! There was a raffle with lots of great Whedon-themed stuff (Sideshow Collectibles, autographed everything, posters, statues, box sets, spa and hotel certificates, etc) , a showing of Serenity, costume contest (there was a zombie Wash!) a Dr. Horrible Sing-Along, and a folk band where all the members were dressed up as Firefly characters. It was a fans dream. It was so cool to meet fellow Whedon fans, also. All the money from the event went to Joss' chosen charity, Equality Now. I also recruited quite a few new fans to the Buffy Meet-up Group that I help run.

I know CTTS is put on in many cities every year, and I urge anyone who has the opportunity to go if they can. It's for a great cause.

As usual, I am blown away by the dedication of Joss Whedon's fans...
