Captain America And Black Widow

There was an animated series called "The New Avengers," centered around the children of the original team, and "the soldier and the spy" had a son, which is the subject of this question. Disregard the revelation in "Age Of Ultron" and give me your opinion. Would Cap and Natasha made a good couple? Certainly, I think, better than Natasha and Bruce. In fact, since Daredevil isn't in the movie universe yet (I always thought that they were perfectly suited for each other, all those years ago) I can't see anyone else currently in the MCU that would really work with her.

So, what do you think?

I'm barely a Marvel fan at all and there is much I don't know. But I can say I agree it looked better with her and Steve and than with Bruce (or Hawkeye). They have enough in common to understand one another, but enough differences to keep from being boring. They both make allowances for each other, but without BSing each other. I liked their chemistry in CA: WS, and that is RARE for me.

On a side note, Steve Rodgers is a genuine nice guy (as opposed as a "Nice Guy" manipulator & whiner) while not being spineless or otherwise passive about it. I'd like to see more characters like that as heroes rather than assuming someone nice is just some wimpy pushover (and also perfectly capable of having a girlfriend just as many genuine nice guys in real life do). And given that I've heard enough songs warning against "mistaking kindness for weakness" I know I'm not alone on that.

Hmmm...I'm sure a Steve/Natasha/Bucky threesome could be quite interesting, if Steve were somehow...well best not to use the word "up" so I will say willing for it. Maybe this should be a marry/*/kill question. 😛

No no no. Steve had a lifetime with Peggy. He doesn't WANT anymore sex. He doesn't NEED anymore sex. 🤢

Natasha and Bucky need more time alone. I approve of this union. Besides, they really don't need another wiener in the mix. 😛

We don't talk about next avengers. But, my understanding is, Ultimate Marvel, which was produced with the idea of presenting a "cinematic" version of the Marvel Universe, as opposed to the one where everyone is white, dead, or a wife beater, paired Cap and Widow off. So, Next was intended to be Earth 7's future. Sadly, the Marvel timeline is one of life against time, every vision of the future, Days Of Future Past, Old Man Logan, Maestro, 2099, Spider-Girl, is of the end of the age of Marvels and the ruination of humanity.
