Cat owners - try this!

Okay, it's raining out & I'm bored.......

If you own a cat (well actually cats don't have owners they have staff) here is something weird you can try....
Some of you may have already heard of this or even tried it....but for those that haven't.....

1. Get a short piece of rope.....actually works better with a bathrobe belt or a scarf....
2. Arrange it in a circle about 2 feet in diameter on the floor where your cat can see it....
3. Stand back & watch.

Chances are that within a few minutes your cat will go & sit in the circle. No idea why this works but my cat was in the circle within 20 seconds & actually slept in it that night 😵
This apparently works with captive Lions & Tigers too!

I have heard of this. I will try it and let you know. My cat is super smart though so I'm hoping she falls for it hook, line and sinker 😀
 
That trick didn't work with either of my cats. But my cat does love her boxes.

I believe it's when you put a cucumber on the floor behind your cat. It turns around, freaks out/gets scared because it thinks it's a snake and gets the heck out of there. There used to be a lot of videos of it on Facebook for a while, ... then a lot of complaints that it was actually rather cruel to the cats. Not having cats I can't speak for whether it works, or if our generation has traumatized a generation of kitties 😛

My cats would definitely claim the circle. They both love when a plastic shopping bag has been left in the floor, they either climb inside and lay down or lay on top of it looking very proud. And like Blaze said, they are maniacs for boxes or anything resembling a box (EXCEPT FOR the pet carrier for going to the vet, they literally expand their limbs as to not fit in it). Mad freaks.
 
Well, I can confirm that the circle trick was a complete...... BUST! She sat outside the circle and meowed at me in disgust, as if to say "You want me to sit in the circle, peasant? YOU sit in it."

She then walked off.

Epic fail. 😀

Gosh, what she has to put up with... trying to raise you must be a fulltime job :P
Oh Yeah, my Cat loves her boxes.......If you were to buy her an expensive Kitteh-gym she would sit in the box for hours, but ignore the gym.

She loves the tissue paper you get in shoe boxes....she dives on it & rips it to shreds.....

She's supposed to be a pedigree.....but she's a complete nutter!

...and yes she probably takes after me.......
 
I have a cat staring at me at almost all times. She's a weirdo. I tried it with her but she just looked down at it, looked up at me, pawed at it, then walked over it to get to me. She just wants me. 😀
