Caught between two ships...

Do you ever find yourself liking two ships for completely different reasons? Not in the sense that you love one and just like the other. That you like both ships equally?

For me it would be Bangel and Cangel. I love both of these couples but for different reasons. Too many to go into really. But this puts me in the predicament where I don't really know where to place myself in the shipper world. Anyone else feel like this or am I the only one in this situation?
 
Yes! For me it's Spangel and Cangel, Spangel is my in the past ship, whereas Cangel is my I wish it had happened in the show ship(better than it did!)
 
Ohh there are many! I loved Willow/Oz and Willow/Tara both equal. Both had been so cute, both added important parts to the show! They had been very amusing and I was down when the two ships broke.

I don't think I could choose partially because it depends on my mood. Sometimes I like Spuffy and Sprusilla equally but I like them for different reasons.
 
For me it's Tara/Willow and Oz/Willow, I love both ships equally and can't really pick one. Not that one has to but when the question pops up I can't make up my mind between the two pairs to save my own life 🙂

If you like both equally, then just like 'em both. I mean, do you want to choose?
 
I definitely don't want choose partly because I couldn't. But from my experience it seems that most people have one specific ship that they adore. I just wanted to know if anyone had more than one. I'd never even heard of shipping before I came here so I don't know if there's shipping rules or anything. Just curious really.
 
I understand the conflict cause shippers tend to be so passionately on one side 🙂 It makes it harder to weigh in on debates/discussions when you're tied between two different but just as strong ships.
 
I've always been stuck between Willow/Tara and Willow/Oz. I mean, I kind of feel like Tara might have been "The One" for Willow, but at the same time I completely adore Oz/Willow because it is everything I'd love to have in a relationship. Well, not exactly everything but you know what I mean. So I sort of count myself as a Willow/Tara shipper because of the aforementioned One-ness but in reality I love them both!!

I don't think we should really have to choose though. It's personal preference at the end of the day and if you like both, ship both! There's no reason to have to choose. It's like liking two very different brands of ketchup. No one is making you only like ONE brand. Sod it and buy both!!
 
I'm stuck between 3 Spike ships - Spangel is generally my number one choice, but then Spuffy and Spander also makes my shipper heart sing. I just don't choose really. However I feel, I feel.
 
Hmm. Well, I ship no one with Buffy but Spike, and no one with Spike but Buffy. They're my endgame, they're my OTP. They belong together, and nothing will change my opinion on that.

I did love Oz/Willow, but in the end I think she was best with Tara.
 
I guess I could say that about Spuffy and Bangel...I like them both, but I also dislike them both haha. Ugh. I mean if someone asked me to pick one or the other, I really wouldn't be able to. Neither of them are my absolute favorites or anything, I just kind of accept them.
 
I just appreciate each couple for different reasons. People fit together differently depending on where they are in life.
 
I don't see any problems loving more than one ship. To be honest, I typically like multiple ships for each character. BTVS is one of the few shows I have a strong ship preference.

I adore both Bangel and Briley, but there is no doubt that Bangel is (and always will be) my favorite.

The thing about shipping, there are no rules. I've said this a few times, but you don't choose ships; they choose you. I didn't make an intellectual decision to ship Bangel, it just happened naturally. I did it from the moment I watched the show, but it was only when I entered fandom that I had a name to call it i.e. shipping.

I couldn't ship another ship in the Buffyverse, even if I wanted to. This is just my honest to God, natural reaction to the shows.

So, however you ship, whether it be through having an OTP, several ships or non-canon ships, if you are doing it because this is just how the show makes you feel, then you are doing it right.

What's OTP? I am the same I ship who I ship because it feels right and the other ships do not give me the same reaction as the ones I love 🙂

One True Pairing. So, in terms of the Buffyverse, I would be an OTP shipper because that is how I view (and ship) B/A.

After re-watches I have that problem. I actually have that problem with some other shows where I LOVE both and think that both ships are needed so it makes it so hard for me to choose. I choose but it is only by a point lol.
