Caught on Tape: Planned Parenthood Aids Pimp's Underage Sex Ring

NEW JERSEY "“ February 1, 2011"“ A Planned Parenthood manager in New Jersey coaches a man and a woman posing as sex traffickers how to secure secret abortions, STD testing, and contraception for their female underage sex slaves, and make their whole operation "look as legit as possible" in an undercover video released this morning.

Clinic manager Amy Woodruff, LPN, of Planned Parenthood Central New Jersey's Perth Amboy center, warns the pimp and his prostitute to have their trafficked underage girls lie about their age to avoid mandatory reporting laws, promising, "even if they lie, just say, "˜Oh he's the same age as me, 15,'"¦it's just that mainly 14 and under we have to, doesn't matter if their partner's the same age, younger, whatever, 14 and under we have to report." She says, "For the most part, we want as little information as possible."

Woodruff also recommends how the pimp can get his prostitutes cheaper contraception by claiming they are "students": "If they're minors, put down that they're students. Yeah, just kind of play along that they're students--we want to make it look as legit as possible."

If one of the young trafficked girls needs an abortion, Woodruff refers the pimp and prostitute to the Metropolitan Medical Association, where "their protocols aren't as strict as ours and they don't get audited the same way that we do." The prostitute in the video asks how long after the abortion until the girls can have sex again, and when Woodruff says "minimum of 2 weeks," she asks what sex acts the girls could still do to make money. Woodruff advises, "Waist up, or just be that extra action walking by" to advertise sex to potential clients.


Sex trafficking is punishable under federal law and carries a potential life sentence. The new video is released by Live Action, a pro-life new media organization led by 22-year-old Lila Rose. The video airs just days after Planned Parenthood's leadership suspected the sting operation and sought an FBI probe of Live Action in order to deter the release of the exposé. Live Action is sending full footage to U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, NJ Attorney General Paula Dow, officials at the Federal Bureau of Investigations, and other law enforcement officials, requesting federal and state investigations into Planned Parenthood's sexual abuse and sex trafficking cover up.

"This proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that Planned Parenthood intentionally breaks state and federal laws and covers up the abuse of the young girls it claims to serve," said Lila Rose, President of Live Action. "Time and time again, Planned Parenthood has sent young girls back into the arms of their abusers. They don't deserve a dime of the hundreds of millions they receive in federal funding from taxpayers. Congress must cease funding and the Department of Justice should investigate this corrupt organization immediately."

Live Action has previously released more than a dozen hidden camera videos from ten states and shows the alarming trend of illegal Planned Parenthood activity including cover-up of sexual abuse of minors, the skirting of parental consent laws, citing unscientific and fabricated medical information to convince women to have abortions, and Planned Parenthood's willingness to accept donations earmarked to abort African-American babies.

I'm not interested in turning this into a prochoice/prolife debate. I want to know opinions on the video, LiveAction, and/or Planned Parenthood.

I don't think it was in the article but reports are that the manager in the video was fired.

It's good it came out, it's not like those are the morals of the whole organization, thats just that particular staff member, who's been fired and they clearly need to crack down on their staff.

But it shouldn't really damage the organization, people are corrupt, you could probably secretly film a LiveAction staff member working in an opposite situation, given the correct circumstances.

Apparently its like the 2nd or 3rd video in the last month or so. I know there's a link to another one, similar, on the webpage for a instance in NY from this last week.

It may not be the morals for the whole organization but they clearly need to be retrained, or monitored, or something.

Planned Parenthood does a lot of good where I live. They do more than just abortions. They provide healthcare to women who can't afford it. Jeez, the religious right wackos are against planned parenthood, and against Obamacare. What would Jesus think?

Planned Parenthood serves an important population that wouldn't otherwise have access to services or might not use them because of the atmosphere created by those offering the services. I think that the person went too far. I think that she was more focused on making sure that the girls got services than on helping the girls to not need the services...or at least that's what I hope she thought she was doing and she wasn't just outright helping a pimp abuse little girls...call me an optimist.

1. Yes, she is a bad person. But Planned Parenthood does a lot of good, and the Right wants to shut them down and not provide medical assistance to those who do not qualify for Medi-care.

2. I thought they called the FBI, not the local police.

3. Sorry it's offensive. The Right has been terrorizing poor people, the mentally handicapped, and third world countries for years. I take great offense at their so called "moral position."

PP may be 100% wrong, but the fact that it comes from a right-wing Christian organization taints my view. Logically it shouldn't, but it does. Perhaps I should listen to the message instead of focusing on the messenger. The problem is the messenger (The Right and Christian Right) has been ruining lives for years without any regard to the less fortunate and little economic power.

4. I doubt that if Jesus returned to earth that he would be a member of the Republican Party or the Tea Party. He would be disgusted with their actions, their intolerance, and their lack of compassion. No doubt that Jesus would be a Socialist, Anarchist, or Marxist. And he would certainly be for Obamacare.

I don't think it should matter who caught the person acting inappropriately. I don't understand why how Jesus feels about sociopolitical groupings or health care is relevant here. How do you feel about the "facts" of what you saw in this situation?

I can't speak for the "Right" but I can say that as a prolife activist, the intention behind shutting PP down is to save the life of the unborn, not to take away medical assistance.

This, apparently, was from LiveAction going into a PP in Virginia, not the PP in video:

Nova said in both the Albemarle and Roanoke cases, police were notified after the man left. He said the Charlottesville Planned Parenthood workers contacted the Albemarle County Police Department and the FBI to report the suspicious man.

Albemarle police Sgt. Darrell Byers said Friday that he knew of no one in his department who received information about the "fake patient." He said it was possible the workers could have called but that no report was made. Source

You said it yourself: It doesn't matter what you pick, there are bad people. It's unfair to refer to "The Right" as a blanket group - for example, does it say somewhere that LiveAction is right wing?

You could say the same exact thing about any form of "left" views as well. And how exactly have "The Right" been "ruining lives"? I mean, any different than the left?

If you read what the Bible says about Jesus, you would know he pretty much disregards all types of goverment, from one extreme to the other. I'd say it's very arrogant of you to assume he would "certainly be for Obamacare." I'm pretty sure he'd just heal them himself. :eyeroll: Besides, I'm 99% sure no where in the video, the article, or the website does it claim that Jesus would be Republican or part of the Tea Party.

To say that I am anti-life would be incorrect, I am however pro-choice and pro-Jesus if that matters.

As for Planned Parenthood, I have known more girls that have gone to PP and then decided that based on the counsel they received to parent or develop an adoption plan than have chosen to abort. 100 % that went did receive or were referred to receive necessary health care.

I find myself really wary of these 'undercover sex sting' type of videos. Does anyone recall what happened with those undercover videos about ACORN? What a mess. And it turns out the video in that case was heavily edited and deliberately misleading.

I'm getting some healthy pushback to my story today about the lack of attention LiveAction is getting for its Planned Parentood videos, the ones that replay the James O'Keefe "pimp and prostitute" trick. Today, after all, was the release of a video recorded in New York, and LiveAction, through the public relations firm Shirley & Bannister, sends along the tape with quotes from prominent pro-life leaders. One from Wendy Wright of Concerned Women for America:

Each new tape reveals Planned Parenthood’s institutional complicity with sex abusers and human traffickers. Even their official response exposes their attitude toward sex abuse and trafficking: They call their shocking practice of aiding child sex traffickers "professional."

This isn't really true. The LiveAction videos were recorded over a five-day period in the middle of January. Within 10 days of the stings, Planned Parenthood contacted the FBI to report that people had been coming to their offices and asking for advice about abortions for underaged girls who were part of a sex ring. "Institutional complicity" is a weasel word -- institutionally, the organization reports suspicious activity. Institutionally, staffers fail to get more details from people who claim to be committing crimes -- as long, we see from these tapes, as those people are just asking for information.

My opinion on sex trafficking especially minors: it's wrong.
My opinion on Planned Parenthood: they provide a necessary service and I'm glad they exist. They have helped a lot of people and I hope they continue to do so.
My opinion on that worker: what an awful person.

I am a little wary of undercover videos like this. It's hard to tell how genuine and honest it is.

The woman in the video was right to offer medical care to the girls who wanted/needed it but she was wrong to not notify police when she learned about something illegal going on. She absolutely deserves to be fired as she clearly didn't handle that situation as Planned Parenthood's code of conduct would have required.

Sex trafficking is horrible and the woman in the video who was laughing about it and supporting it is disgusting. Whether or not the video was misleading, the woman in it still makes jokes about the prostitution of minors and sex trafficking and as far as I am concerned that is wrong.

I think it's abhorrent that things like this happen, but one bad apple spoils the bunch, eh? PP does a lot of good, and they've helped me out in being about to afford birth control before. They're really, at the core, an organization dedicated to helping the world. They do a lot of good for our society.

That being said, I think the practices in question are awful and need to be stopped. It wasn't just one staff member. From what I heard on the news, they went to a few different clinics and got similar responses. Under the table, blind eye, whatever you want to call it. It needs to stop.
