Cautionary Tale of Numero Cinco

I thought the point of the story was ok, but it was sooo over-the-top and ridiculously done. I dunno if it's the worst episode ever but it's definately up there. Worst of season 5 at least.
 
I thought it was funny.. it was supposed to be over-the-top bluesclues
 
actually, im pretty sure the one with the praying mantis and xander in season 1's "teachers pet" mayyyyy be the worst episode.....maybe those two are tied?
 
Why does everyone hate this episode? I thought it was pretty good really. It was a nice change of pace, and the only bit that I thought was a bit too much was the end. The rest of it was fine. I wouldn't say it was the worst ep in Season 5, but perhaps just that it was the least good.

I really liked this episode!! I liked the old guy, I liked the flashbacks to the brother wrestling in their youth..overall, I thought it was a good idea, it could have moved along a bit faster, but maybe that's why I liked it, it was a nice, slow episode with a good story..a bit like reading one of your Gran's books :lmao:

After Buffy ended there was a scifi cartoon series called Futurama that had an episode parodying "Once More, With Feeling".

The Robot Devil made the cast inexplicably burst into song and sing random things they wouldn't otherwise say.

In the series all their robots are built in Mexico, and no date was given for when that factory came online, just that the "Friendly Robot Company" was started by persons unknown a very long time ago.

The Robotico Diablo (robot devil) line in Angel could have been a nod to Futurama's parody of Buffy by doing a little shout out to them.

This episode was total bollocks, almost as bad as Happy Anniversary. Dunno what to even really say bout it, just pure garbage.
 
Surely not the worst? - "She" in season one is Worst. Episode. Ever. of either series (IMO)

Acctually, I always kind of enjoy Numero Cinco. I like the ending with the four brothers. Thematically, it's very important for the whole season too.
 
You know, i FINALLY watched this episode tonight after reading so much hatred for it on the boards, and really, wasn't the worst episode. it was average at best but certainly not the worst. it had my interest. maybe because i was expecting something horrid i actually walked away with a better outlook since i imagined the worst? lol but yeah, seriously, the whole worst episode ever is an overstatement for me.

I agree about She. that episode bores me to tears. and i can't stand the way that main girl talks in it, i can barely understand what she is saying.
 
Yes, this ep was possibly the worst episode of the entire series...possibly one of the worst episodes of TV in general.
 
Yeah I really hated it. That, Life of the Party and Smile Time seemed like really weird un-Angel episodes, though I did enjoy Smile Time I consider it a guilty pleasure, I'd be embarrassed if someone saw me watching it without watching/understanding the show as a whole, it's not something you can use to introduce them to the series without making it look stupid.
