I was just wondering if anyone in the UK is watching either of these two shows? I'm tuning in to both :sneakout:

I'm slightly disappointed with SS, since none of the stars (except for maybe Roxanne) can sing. I really don't want Wendi to go tonight...

As for Big Brother, I feel quite sorry for Jodie. I mean she's getting slated a lot and I do wish everyone would just leave her alone - everyone seems to love Katie Price now, including myself, so why not Jodie? IMO, Jodie is better looking, smarter and seems more down-to-earth. I want her to win out of the odd bunch in there, however it's very unlikely she will. Women hardly ever win these shows...

I'm a Big Brother fan in general so i am trying to keep up with CBB again this year. Really busy with work though so i've not had much chance to follow it since the opening night.

As for Soapstar Superstar, that has got to be the worst idea ITV has come up with yet to fill it's schedules with yet another dire "vote them off" show. I love X Factor and American Idol but this is just taking things too far. The fact i hate soaps doesn't help much either, lol!

^^Oh, slightly OT but what was your opinion on the last Big Brother? I thought it had the potential to be the best, but this year they had no obvious fan-favourites, which made it hard for me to stick with it for the last few weeks. Although Kinga put up a good effort to keep me hooked lol...

I did like Saskia, and I thought Makosi was a great housemate although she annoyed me. IMO Anthony was the wrong choice for the winner...He was down-to-earth but he was very dull.

Well i wasn't that impressed with the Soapstars Superstars, but I do think overs can sing other than Roxanne. Richard was brilliant! I loved him singing Daniel Bedingfield....

As for Celebrity Big Brother I watched the opening night just so I could see who was going in there but to be honest I probably won't watch anymore of it.

Last years BB did have the potential to be the best but the public made a massive mistake in voting out Maxwell instead of Science. That was the point where the house dynamics started to become less pronounced and everything started to become very dull. By the point of the last five or so i had nearly lost interest entirely.

I can never understand why the public vote the biggest characters out first. It's like they want to watch the last few weeks of BB each year with just a bunch of dull people sat around talking nicely with one another. It was worse in BB4 though, there were barely any good characters in the house to start with, lol!

^I agree, although I think that if certain housemates from that series had have been in 5 or 6, they would have been much more interesting as they would have been with bigger personalities. Ray, Scott and Tania spring to mind...I never understood why people disliked Tania.

The Arcane
Quite liked Tania, myself :)
I just watched it too.

She is a bit of a hypocritic to her own beleifs in a way because she goes on about how she doesnt want to be shown as a sl*g and all she talks about is sex, and she wears clothes that make her look like one.

I do kinda agree (with barrymore)that she does seem to be a bit of an attention seeker, but dont get me wrong, I like her! she should win! but like you said she'll probably be first out.

Ohhh i dont like her.
Never found her attractive, and i DONT believe miss Marsh has any cred when suggesting other 'celebs' did nothing to get in the house.
Pete and Barrymore were spot on tonight, even down to how she had positioned herself....and when she did the...20minutes before i came in my dad....blah blah blah...i was thinking the exact same thing as Pete.

I normally watch CBB, but i'm not watching it because of Soapstar Superstar. I am enjoying this too much and I hate Jodie so that is another reason to switch off.

In SS, I really like Richard, and Roxanne. I'm surprised by who is left though! I mean come on! The woman who is Cilla in Coro, she cannot sing....

Plus Lucy why is she still there, Shobna was so much better.

I'm rooting for Richard or Roxanne. I just hope that Roxy makes it through to tomorrow.

Don't watch either, hate reality TV blah blah blah.

Although the ad for SS extra (or whatever they're calling it) on ITV 2 is quite good. They have all of them using their voices to pretend to be instruments or something. I dunno, its good. Better than the show from what I've heard.

Edmund Blackadder
yeah i like the ad....its just not enough for me to watch it
I watch CBB soemtimes because there seems to be nothing else on at that time.
I'm no fan of any 'celeb' in there, but whatever the hell Jodie does job-wise,she doesn't need to listen to the spew coming out of the other people, mainly barrymore in the house.I think he's playing up to the cameras.
Some people my think that he deserves this and that.George says he should win and be back on top.Well I was not there when that terrible incident happened a couple of years ago,but the death of a young man in such a dreaful way is not something that should be forgotten.
But that's of the main topic.Pete is just a whiny old cow.
lol I'm not a fan of his show or the people at all.

Oh dear. I'm watching SS. I actually felt sorry for her the other night. I was watching replays on c4 and it was the one where everyone was having a go at her. NOw I don't like the girl, but I was actually shouting at the TV, leave her alone!

Well a few tears ran down her cheek and she was a little quiet. She came across pretty well though...A little like the stereotypical idea of her, but pretty down-to-earth. I'd watch it on Sunday morning or something because it was worth watching.
