So where do you fall in this debate? Are any celebrities worth getting that excited about or do you think people should shy away from worshiping someone just because they won an Oscar? Have you met any celebrities and did it freak you out or would it hypothetically?
In my previous post, I think I haven't really answered this question, so for the sake of discussion;
Me myself, I feel like I look more at what people do and have done, rather than what they are when it comes to celebrities. Merely winning an Oscar won't make me go crazy for you. I think it's a bit strange how many people are completely obsessed with celebrity-ness, and do the weirdest things to meet one, or be one. And I'm not talking 'OMG! Noel Fielding just ran past me! Let's make a photo of the bit of floor he just walked on!!!' (That would be me and my sister)-crazy. Seriously, obsessed.
I haven't actually met any celebrities, and, like I mentioned before, I don't know how I'd react if I met one. It would really depend on how much I liked him/her. Like I also said, I was surprised how calmly I reacted when I saw 5 of the biggest comedy geniuses on a stage some mere metres away from me. But then, seeing someone and meeting someone are two quite different things.
