Who is William Frey?

Oops, pardon me. James Frey. He was this druggy who wrote a critically acclaimed book called A Million Pieces. He claimed it was based on fact. Turned out it wasn't completely factual. Oprah had him selected for her book of the month club. At first she went on Larry King and supported him. Her viewers however being Oprah viewers and therefore simple-minded had bought into the idea that based on fact meant one hundred per-cent factual, and felt betrayed.

Oprah tricked Frey into coming back on the show where she'd previously launched a gushfest all over him. Frey didn't know what hit him. This was the same women who'd supported him a few nights before on Larry King. However...she was losing credibility with the Oprahphiles now, and that's a billion dollar business fleecing that flock. She turned on Frey like a pig on a turnip. She had him crying.

South Park did a gross, offensive, and totally hilarious take on the story called A Million Fibers.

Jeez didn't know about that. I watch Oprah sometimes, but I'm not a simpleton 😛 Don't buy her recommended books though.
