One thing I would like to have changed is the lack of momentum in the dorm. They've slowed down quite a bit in the last year.

One thing I love to keep is how the staff runs the board. They get way too much crap sometimes. This forum has been around as long as it has for a reason and the administration sees to that.

One thing I'd change is the level of activity in my dorm.

Once thing I'd keep the same is the steady flow of new and interesting topics to discuss.

The issue of censorship on the Buffy Boards is such a double edged sword. Sometimes I resent the fact that I am not given more freedom of speech to question decisions made and sometimes I feel like I am judged unfairly on things I say due to the way I word things...

Mhm that's new for me too! Does you and [MENTION=11317]Cast No Shadow[/MENTION] feel censored because of the comments and quotes you get sometimes? Or do I missunderstand you? If I think about this now and I can only say that I comment very often and quote very often too! This should be no way of critizising or censoring, even if it may looks like in the first view! In contrary, I read through your post and find something which I want to discuss. So you made an interesting post and made me think about a special topic a little bit deeper. So you can see it as praise, you wrote something which others want to discuss. Neither if it's a positve agreement or a (mostly not liked) disagreeing. It doesn't matter. This fact, that somebody qouted you just shows that you made a good point because another member is making the effort to quote you! All I, and I guess, all other members want to do is showing other opinions and points/angles of view.
Of course here are members who want to discuss, but I feel as if they (always) respect my oppinion, they just don't share it and want to explain me why they think like they do! Sometimes you may get the impression that somebody is hardly critizising you(Remember my first comment about the "Be nice on the Internet Week" 🙂) but in my eyes this has something to do with the fact that we can only read what others say. We don't see their feelings and faces so it's sometimes hard to decide it somebody made a joke or is totally serious! And I got the impression as if everybody here is willing to get retuned and see other views. But maybe I missinterpret the things some of you wanted to say. It just ...surprised me!

If I could change one thing about BB it would be letting everyone have custom avatars. But, that would take a lot of bandwith, or server space, or some computer term I don't know. 😛 I like the choices we have though!

If I could keep one thing about BB the same forever, it would be how active we are. This show was amazing, and it's kept us all talking about it almost 10 years after it ended. It's lead me to meet some of my closest friends, and allowed me to think about the show in a completely new way.

Honestly...

If I were to change one thing about BB, it would be how tense people get when dealing with Staff. Which includes staff. Over my time here, the only drama I've seen has come from the staff getting overly defensive about something or a member getting overly defensive about something towards the staff. That tenseness needs to go away on both sides. And I'm feeling hesitant about even posting this because I'm afraid of the defense I'm going to get from the staff. I'm not criticizing or getting mad or anything... it's just something I've noticed that if I had the power to, I'd change.

If I could keep one thing the same, it would be generally how open the people are to learning about the other members. Not just our opinions of the show... but who we are. Part of what makes BB such a great community is that the people want to get to know each other. That we don't just come here for the Buffy, we come here for each other. I love that.

If I could change one thing....it would be to add which dorm a member is in on their public profile. When old members come back or new ones are added it would be nice to see what dorm they are in easily by just looking at their profile. Also, since we are doing the new mention thing, it would be awesome to be able to see their id numbers on their profile too.

If I could keep one thing the same....it would have to be the dedication by the staff and its members. It's this that keeps the Buffyverse alive!😀

One thing I'd change is how often avatars get updated. Maybe every 3-6 months. Especially if someone has uploaded images to the gallery.

One thing I won't change- the dorms. Which I know has been said already. But there's a lot of things I wouldn't change.

If I could change one thing about BB it would be...nothing. I love this board just as it is. There's always new threads to post in, even though the show has long since been finished, there's hundreds of avatars to choose from and there's new skins to pick. I also think the staff do a really good job 🙂

If I could keep one thing about BB the same forever, it would be...the members, I wish people wouldn't leave (I know I'm guilty of having a very long absence). When I first joined the boards there were a group of active members which were a pleasure to post with, and even though I've only been back a short while, and even though the members are different I get the same feeling.

If I could change one thing on BB it would be that everyone got to know each other a bit more outside of their dorms/circle of friends. Simply because I personally feel I only know a few members well, perhaps that's because I haven't been here very long

If I could keep one thing the same about BB it would be a number of things: the great members and staff, the community of BB, the dorms, the rep, how active everybody is and that we're still here in another ten years 🙂

If I could change one thing about BB it would be... it would be the option to quote rep posts in a way that the 'quotee' would get tagged, or just an easy option to reply to karma, because sometimes karma comments are just short questions.

(Well, people shouldn't be putting stuff that needs responding to in karma but since that's probably not going to change anytime soon...)

Around the karma comment, or if you don't care about the username you can jsut copy and paste and then highlight it and click on the "quote" button in the quick reply. 🙂

One thing to change: I really really would like to be able to edit my posts anytime, not just in the first 5minutes or so after I posted 🙂

Feel free to send the text of edited posts and a link to a mod and they will do it. When people start going back and editing replies stop making sense. And unfortunately, there are people out there who would use it maliciously.

That is displayed in their posts 🙂

Also, since we are doing the new mention thing, it would be awesome to be able to see their id numbers on their profile too.

You only need that if there is an apostrophe in their name.
