Champions

Supernatural- That would be like witches, vampires, or anything of the demon, ghost, whatever variety.

Superhuman- That would pretty much be like Superman, I'm guessing the Grooslaugge is the best Buffyverse character to fall into the category
 
Yeah, he's a human warrior who was raised in a demon world or something like that. Not much about Gru's origins have been explored, but I'm pretty he is a human being.
 
Gru is half human half demon which is why he was supposed to sleep with Cordy to get her visions because as a hybrid they would not kill him.

So, are you implying that being a champion is something that one is born with? If Spike was not a true champion before, and you are obviously under the impression that Angel was before, I'm thinking that you are meaning to see that champions are in-born.
(This point is just to prove that Angel was just as evil and horrible as Spike was, and Angel only became a 'champion' because he was stopped with a soul and it was really the only way for him to deal.)

And remember that really, Angel wanted to be left alone after the curse. Only until Whistler approached him, had him go to LA and make a decision. When he saw Buffy, he knew he wanted to help her. Isn't that just about the same thing as Spike wanting to change for Buffy?

Oh~ and to put my two cents in, I believe that they both are champions. Even though i credit Spike with it more, I still do believe Angel has done a lot of good.
I also view Xander as a champion as well.

Fred/Zander/Gunn/Willow(willow didn't always have powers) had so much to loose and nothing to gain by joining the fight. Looking at it that way that makes them true heros/champions as it wasn't their duty to give up their lives for the good of the world...but thats what they were willing to do.

In the end they are all my heros. :: tu ::


oh oh wait! I forgot lol Spike is a hero too wether he fought for the world or fought for buffy...it doesn't matter as he had to overcome the evil within himself which was a huge battle that in it self it a awesome accomplishment.
