Champions?

I was just think how many champions have passed through the angel and buffy programs over the years, and i realised the person who has come into contact with the most champions is cordelia and angel, and everytone thinks buffy is the lets get it on with champion type of girl but really its cordy.
for example cordelia had love type relationships with groo, angel and (although it wasnt mentally her) connor whereas buffy just had spike and angel.
The other champions in the show that she also met where kendra, faith, buffy and spike- which gives her a total of 7, whereas buffy had 5 (including herself), even willow had me more champions than buffy because she met connor whereas buffy didnt. although angel did meet that demon who was helping that pregnant girl, if you considered him a champ then i suppose angel has met the most champions, not that it really matters i was just thinking, sorry if i rambled a bit lol
p.s. i know a slayer may not be a champion cos they are slayers but you know what i mean.
If you counted illyria as a champion then angel would win as cordy never met illyria- depends on your POV
 
Yeah, like what about the potentials? Wouldn't they be champions in training?

You'd have to consider what a Whedonverse champion is. Spike is referred to as a champion, so that would mean other anti-hero characters like Faith, Fray, and Mal from Firefly could possibly also be considered Whedonverse champions.

What about a character like Andrew? Where would he fit in?
 
Does meeting the most champions really make you a bigger champion really? You could argue the opposite, Angel has needed help (whether he wanted it or not is different) from other champions so Buffy is better.
 
Illariya ain't a champion. She's a weapon that Angel, Wes and co managed to turn against a bigger threat. She's inherently selfish, seeking only to conquer worlds or alleviate her boredom. A Champion is above all that.
 
Champions aint all that, afterall most of them are more or less human, every champion on the program has done something wrong, selfish etc. especially angel but i still love him though because he isn't completely righteous and he knows it doe he doesnt act like he is, if you know what i mean.

p.s. i didnt mean to imply that if you meet more champions your a bigger champion i was just saying how cordy/angel have met the most.

Good point about the potentials being potential champions, so eventually it will be willow cos as far as we know shecan feel the slayers, therefore in a weird twisted way knows them, im rambling again lol!!!
 
I dunno about the potentials being champions. They're certainly do-gooders, some of them will probably even become heroes. But Champions? That's a lofty goal and I doubt all 128 bazillion of them will achieve it.
